I wanted to do something special for her and decided to host a
BRIDESMAID LUNCHEON
at the only tea room in our town...
this would give her an enjoyable and delightful time to spend with her family and friends..
and a great chance to present her gifts to her bridesmaids.
***
Thanks, Kandice, for wearing PINK !! ;)
***
***
The tea room ran out of glasses so they served us in styrofoam cups and I nearly had a silent hissy fit.
***
***
Her colors were red and white....(but you might know I HAD to have the black and white in there! and they didn't even have black and white polka dots, either!!)
the black and white toile paper plates and napkins and bright red forks from HOBBY LOBBY...
The tiered stand is from DOLLAR GENERAL..
I made the Red Velvet cupcakes and the cupcake wrappers were ordered on line...
***
***
Lots of talking, laughing and some delightful food.
We ordered off the menu and most of us ordered the tea room's famous
CHICKEN SALAD...

WISHING YOU THE VERY BEST HAPPINESS AND LOVE FOREVER AND EVER, KANDICE...

Ladies, you're right about this precious lady being sweet. I wouldn't trade her friendship for anything. Everybody should have such a wonderful friend! Thanks again, Jean, for doing the luncheon and the blog.
I love you!

The bride looked so happy. How very thoughtful of you. Raydene
Happy PS, BJ! What a festive table! Your red velvet cup cakes in the pretty cup cake wrappers and the tablescape was so lovely I doubt anyone minded the styro cups!
So wonderful of you to host it! Everyone looks so happy! Best wishes to the happy couple!
Tina
LOL at your silent hissy fit. Looks like a pretty shower but I'd have been upset, too! Read your comment on Tina's blog and I think the font size not working has something to do with the added background and any extras (snow) and which way the wind is blowing at Blogger! I installed Windows Live Writer and it is amazing and so much better and it posts directly to your blog and it's free. I changed when it wouldn't let me upload pictures anymore. Good luck and HPS! :)Nancy
I don't consider myself snobbish..but...I am with you. I would have had a silent hissy fit also! Styrofoam cups??? NO! Yeah...NOT good.
Other then that, everything looked lovely. Still...I wasn't there..and cringed! :)
I agree...you looked just beautiful!
I am doing fine..and thank you for your sweet and true comment. I am back to cream of wheat...but can have WATERMELON..and peaches! So..for now am content!
Big hugs or you, bj!
And of course lotsa love!
Mona
P.S. Feathers are going to rain down on blogland for sure! :)
BJ you are one of the sweetest woman I know... How thoughtful of you to do that for your friends daughter. And yes I would have had a hissy fit too over the cups... with it being a tea room who would have thought. But you know brush it off and have a great time right?
Have a FUNtastic day my friend...

Hi, BJ,
Kandice looks very pretty in pink and how nice of you to host a luncheon for her. Thanks for visiting my Pink Saturday. Have a great weekend. Vicki
It was very sweet of the bride to color coordinate for Pink Saturday! It looks like you ladies all had a wonderful time. i would have been peeved about the cups too, but in ten years time she'll look back and know that you gave her a beautiful shower and won't remember the cups.
The cupcakes sound yummy! Happy Pink Day and have a loveleigh weekend!
you are so kind, and the silent hissy fit I would have had too! styrofoam cups, pah!

Hello Dearheart...
Ahhh...what a sweet thing to do for the bride to be and her bridesmaids!!! It was evident that she loved every minute of her special party by the beautiful smiles on her face!!!
My friend, I just love those black and white toile plates...so pretty!!! And...I love the pretty cupcake holder...now I'm going to have to go and check out our local Dollar General and see if they carry them! Your cupcakes not only look scrumptious but they are also so beautiful in those lacy cupcake cups!!! So beautiful!!!
Love ya,
Chari
PS...don't blame you at all by having a "silent hissy" about the tea house serving a bridal party in styrofoam cups...what were they thinking???
Isn't it interesting how most tea rooms are known for either their chicken salad or a yummy soup?
I hope you'll stop by my book giveaway that is going on all this week.
How sweet! Somehow this is the season of weddings - summer :-)
Li

What a lovely event, thanks for sharing the photos!
Tea in a styrofoam cup makes my teeth hurt, that's a REAL shame, remaining silent...well that's more than I could do!
The cupcakes are gorgeous!

Hi BJ
What a lovely afternoon you all must have had. I love the way the table is set up. Well that wasn't nice about the cups because you didn't want them that way but I'm sure everything else made up for it.
Yummy cupcakes and the paper is so sweet too!
Congratulations....
thank you for sharing
Judi
BJ...Just had to stop in for a peek at what's new. I must say you do NOT look 71. That nearly caused me to FAINT!
There is hope.
xoRebecca PS: SWEET Luncheon...beautiful!
Hi BJ, what a lovely thing for you to do. It all looks wonderful and I think I would have had a less than silent hissy fit. LOL. Of course it would have been another time. I wouldn't want to ruin the beautiful luncheon. Everyone looks happy and that is the most important thing. The bride to be is pretty and I know she will be a beautiful bride. All brides are!!! I hope you have photos of the wedding when they get hitched.
