Tea would be good with these muffins I am making...
BANANA NUT WHOLE GRAIN...
I just add extra VANILLA and PECANS...there is never enuf pecans in the mixes for me !
and it seems to me that if a little XTRA vanilla is added, they taste more HOMEMADE....
and, myself, I love me some BIG, ole chunks of pecans so I don't usually CHOP....
Would you notice my new flour and sugar canisters ?
I've added the BLUE AND WHITE, vintage cups to them and I am just crazy about THE look....I've been seeing them all over Blogland and had to have some.
$6.00 each at Walmart.... and you don't HAVE to use VINTAGE cups...any pretty cups will look great...

Mr. SweetNothings and I ate all but 2 of these muffins this morning....
hot......with butter.....yum ! Who says muffins have to be made from SCRATCH
to be delicious ?
AND did you notice my ADORABLE RED and WHITE POLKA DOT plate? I have 12 of them, they are melamine and I love 'em so much I wanna marry 'em..... Sweet TINA, the QUEEN OF CUTE over at CHERRY HILL COTTAGE had some and, you KNOW how I covet EVERYTHING she does...she is always so good and sweet about letting us know where she gets all her cuteness.THANK YOU SO MUCH, TINA....
IF...by some freak of nature, you've NOT been over to CHERRY HILL COTTAGE, you have GOT to go take a peek at her beautiful decorating, fabulous recipes...the list goes on and on....and PLEASE tell her bj said HEY...

we were sitting on a fence watching a CATTLE BRANDING that day....and, BOY....did it stink !! WHEW...... that burning hair and skin...ugggg..Isn't my dark haired mother so cute in her BLUE jeans and tucked-in shirt....ever heard the old saying, "TATTLE TAIL, TATTLE TAIL, sittin' on a fence....trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents" ? ....I somehow always think of this when I see our photo....*smiling here ..and missing her !! so glad for the memories....make all the good ones you can because, some day, they will become as precious to you as all the gold in the world.....
you know....when my kids were small and the grands little, i THOUGHT i was making lots of memories for THEM...I do believe, however, that I AM the one that has the most memories...and, of course, pray that THEY do, too....bwaaaaaaaa, i'm getting sentimental here so must move on.....!

These cute, little ROOSTER plates and rack were given to me for my birthday...
the feathers on some of the roosters are a dark, greenish BLUE...Do you like RUSSELL CROWE ?

A magnificent movie about a magnificent man...and MR. CROWE played the part so well....
After the first time I saw the movie, I googled the man the story is about and it was such an interesting read...and the movie....just PERFECT !

Good morning BJ! I'd love to come over and have some of those muffins! You always have something good for us. I love your flour jars. I have the same jars and I just love that I can see how much flour, sugar, rice and pasta I have left. I got mine at Walmart several years ago and they are really affordable!

GM BJ...girl pour me a cup and hand me a muffin..those look so YUMMY!! and I love your new canisters..but will tell you I had my flour in one and got those dang bugs in it..so had to put my flour back in the frezzer again..now I have cookie cutters in my jar..sigh!!

Your muffins look so good. I just found a banana bread recipe that calls for pecans and I just might make that today.
The pic of you and your mom is so sweet. It brings back memories so clear that you can even recall the smell on that day! I'll bet you had a lot of great times with her.

I love the teacup in the canister idea. Are those vintage teacups, Lochs of Scotland? I have been collecting the LoS blue and white transferware dishes and one of the things I don't have are the teacups. You make me want to find them even faster!!! I'm on the hunt now!!!
