Steak and Ice Cream and English Peas

Hey, everybody....

I haven't been able to visit with ya'll very much.
We are doing some painting at the old house and a little at the new place.
I find I am running out of time....and energy.

By the time we put away our paints and brushes and rollers
and get "cleaned up", I am in NO MOOD for blogging....just ready for bed.

Mr. Sweet, bless his olden heart, grilled us a T-BONE STEAK last night with
grilled onions and peppers.

I made an ENGLISH PEA SALAD that is one of our very favorites....
and garlic toast.

English peas, drained
chopped onion and cheese
REDSKIN peanuts.

A spoonful or two of your favorite mayo...
ours is HELMANS.

Toss, chill and serve it up.

I must say it sure tasted good with that steak. !!

To top our great meal off.....

MEXICAN PRALINE ICE CREAM
with FUDGE STRIPE COOKIES

  Yes sir ree bob....

We keep a CLOSE eye on DESSERT.

XOXO, bj

OOO....and P.S.
 speaking of STRIPES.......

I can't remember who this belongs to but I WISH it belonged to me.

That pea salad does look good! I've eaten it before, but not for a long, long time. I don't dare eat the ice cream or I'd be crashed on the couch within 20 minutes. :-)

Hope you have a nice evening.

You are one hard worker and that pea salad looks good. I have never heard of that before.

I know the feeling of tiredness due to painting, as it seemed that was how I spent last summer and fall.
My Mr P is the steak griller around here, our menu this evening was very similar to your last night dinner, steak, english peas and salad, but no dessert tonight as I have not been a good girl lately when it comes to sweets, so I am settling for sweet coffee tonight, and drooling over your cookies and ice cream.
Please don't over due it,
Blessings,
Sue

Just saw you over on a comment where there was a rock fireplace, now where was I? Vintage on a Dime. Between her decor and your meal...what a day! Yum, your dinner looks great. I'm still wondering about your having moved. Guess I need to browse more on your blog?
Would love to have you stop by and say hey - I'm posting w/Liz TTT for a change.
Great to see ya! Jenn

Ooooh, love that couch (and the deep porch it must be sitting on!) Grilled steak, it's supposed to get up to 45 degrees next week, sounds like a great time to grill! Don't overtax yourself, and don't worry about blogging. There are only so many hours in a day, we'll all still be here!

BJ,
Bless you little "pea pickin' heart"!!!
Painting is quite a chore!!!
So glad "Mr. Sweet" was in the mood for grilling while you were mixing up the salad!!!
"Sharing the load lightens the burden"...my Grandmother said that all the time!!!
Take care of yourselves, pace yourselves and take breaks!!!

Mmmmm, supper looks good. I love pea salad but haven't ever put peanuts in it. We put Hellman's, boiled eggs, a little pickle relish, and shredded cheddar. Yummo!

That supper sure looks delicious.....and the dessert, well, it looks like something we'd both love!

That's a pretty fancy meal for people who are as busy as you are right now. I think I'd have been tired just making a sandwich!

Everything you serve looks fantastically good! PH and I went through what you are going through four years ago and I never want to do it again. My son in law did all our painting and it was the entire inside of the house including the ceilings. I hope you two are not up to anything like that! Of course you ARE a year younger than I am...heehee! :)
I think it would kill me today!

I agree with Auntie (above) PLEASE pace yourselves carefully. Lately I have been feeling my age a great deal.
Sending hugs..and yes, one to Mr. Sweet too! :)
