More biscuits and a PINK WIN

 Hello, Everyone,
Everybody is in PURE BUSY MODE this time of year and I am included.
We all just gotta remember TO BREATH.....
It ALWAYS helps me to have a GOOD breakfast....

Ever so often, we just HAVE to have a pan of good homemade biscuits...

and that, of course, calls for a jar of the
 STRAWBERRY FREEZER JAM ......

I use the recipe on the package of FREEZER JAM PECTIN and BE SURE to buy the freezer PROOF jars.

When I'm in a hurry, I put the little jar of goodness
into a RED POLKA DOT bowl of water to thaw it.
'Course...you don't HAVE to use a Red Polka Dot bowl...
but it sure is FUN....:)

.....a few ice crystals never hurt anybody....:)
There the LITTLE ONE I always make when I make biscuits...
my mama always made two little ones,
one for brother and one for me.

CHANGING the subject in mid-stream here but.....
Would you take a look at this adorable
PINK FRENCH COFFEE PRESS !!
I was sooo tickled...
TICKLED PINK, really.....to win this cutie.
My thanks to Anne of
PHAMILY BLOG for this AVON
COFFEE PRESS.
             ♥
I haven't learned to use it yet, but, don't you worry....I WILL. :)

Ohhhhh...you gave me your biscuit recipe once and I haven't made them yet! Now that I'm reading your post I'm all fired up again! I'll remember your tips on freezing the jam.

You won a great giveaway...let us know how it works for you.

XO,
Jane

Biscuits...oh they look sooo good - and full of gluten which I can no longer eat and let me tell you I am full of self pity about it!
Did you move or are you going to? And you're having a garage sale? Good luck with yours. I'm pretty sure in hell they make you move and have a garage sale everyday! Well - at least we have good Texas weather for tomorrow. xo Nancy

The only thing better than coffee made in a pink press is having it with home made biscuits!

What I wouldn't give for a couple of those biscuits right now! Freshly baked biscuits with jam is probably my favorite thing in the world, so you're speaking my language tonight! Haha. :)

My mom often made little loaves of bread or little pies for my sister and me! What fun memories that evokes! And I'm trying hard not to covet your French press! :-)

That little coffee press is just the thing for your cosy little breakfast table - so YOU!

Oh My, those biscuits looked good. I'm usually not a biscuit eating person, but sometimes I get a craving for them. Not for breakfast. If I eat a real breakfast like an egg, biscuit, bacon or sausage, instead of being full, I am hungry all day! I think my taste buds just want to keep more good tasting food coming in. So for breakfast I try to stick with a Glucerna shake. But I am definitely figuring out where to put some biscuits in the menu for sometime this week at supper--with good old real butter.

Girl, I am on my way to your door right this very minute. And, you know I want one of those biscuits.

Happy Pink Saturday, my sweet friend.♥

Your biscuits and jam are beautiful! Nothing is better in the morning than biscuits hot out of the oven.
Congrats on your win, that is so great. I'm glad you won!

Your pictures are so 'comforting'. They always start my morning happy. Thank you.

Good morning bj, thanks fr the heads up about my link. I had trouble linking so that could be the problem. Sigh. I hope Beverly can help me fix it.

The coffee French press is awesome. it is easy to use but it takes a bit coarser coffee grounds. If you have a gas stove and your power goes out it is a life saver. You just boil water. You have to read the instructions. I take mine camping in our RV if we don't have electric hookup. It makes the most awesome coffee.

I have never tried freezer jam. I must because I love to make homemade preserves. Yours looks sooooo good.
xoxoxo,
Jeanne

I eat a lot of jellies and jam. Never had this kind tho. Mine does not last long enough to freeze. My desire for homemade biscuits just shot out of sight. I would dearly love one of yours. Mine are out of a can.

My hubby loves to order biscuits and gravy when we go out to breakfast. Do you ever make that?

Audrey said...

good morning bj ... your biscuits look sooooooooo good and I love strawberry jam. I usually do the frozen ones, because they are so easy and very good when cooked in the cast iron pans. Happy weekend and don't work too hard.

The cast iron skillet is great - no doubt traditional; up here, biscuits are not often found, but I'd be pleased to have some warm with (real) butter an yourr jam seems perfect. Along with a stout coffee, that is a breakfast to savor!

I envy your biscuits. I have tried to learn to be a good Southern girl and make homemade biscuits, but they just don't look like yours! I love my French press and consider it my weekend coffee treat. Your's is so cute in bright pink!
