ReasonS ... for the Season

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON
is hosting this wonderful and meaningful meme...
Be sure to go over and see all the beautiful
nativity sets and the
REASONS FOR THE SEASON....
I have always wanted a
SOLID WHITE.....
large  FIGURES .....
for my nativity set.
I've not found one  I could afford
but I am still looking...
**
Beautiful daughter and I went on a
CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR
this week and saw the
WILLOW TREE NATIVITY SET
in one home..
Now, we both want to start a set of those.
THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL.! *sigh
This is a little whimsical
Nativity set that I've had for years and years..

I am in luv with it's sweet, comical charm...
It's made of wood and one of my grandkids favorite Christmas things at my house.
:)
ANOTHER
REASON FOR THE SEASON....
♥♥♥
DAUGHTER has a
Tree Trimming Party
every year
and this year, we had dinner,
trimmed the tree,
listened to piano music..
and we had egg nog and pecan pie waiting for us and we were too full to eat it !!!
DREW and his mom trying to get the angel
on top of that tall, tall  tree...
♥♥♥
DEEDS played JINGLE BELLS for us....
really put us in the Christmas spirit...
That's my handsome BROOKS, listening in on sister's playing..
♥♥♥
FAMILY...
Oh, how we love 'em....
Pretty BRYNNA, adding even MORE bling....
I wanted to share my silver cross collection....
THEY are a BIG part of the REASON..
but they stay out all year 'round..

Here's one of my favorite desserts
that is QUICK
DELICIOUS
and  READY TO BAKE....PEPPERIDGE FARM does most of the work..
I love it !
Peach turnover with coffee ice cream...
O HONEY

Love, bj

What a wonderful post, BJ. Your family is precious and the tree trimming tradition is sweet.

I love your little whimsical nativity. The smile on Baby Jesus' face is wonderful.

I don't think I've ever seen peach turnovers in my market...just apple and cherry.

Have a fabulous week! La

What lovely Nativity scenes. I have one here in Florida and one up north and love them both. What a wonderful family time you all had. I hadn't bought the Pepperidge Farm turnovers in a long time. Thanks for reminding me about them. Have a great week.

I wish I could have dropped by during all this cooking and decorating. However, I love those turnovers in any flavor. In fact, I probably eat too many.

I have the Willow Tree nativity and absolutely love it. I buy a couple of pieces every year and the only thing I have missing now is the stable, stars and camel. Very expensive but I wait until it comes on sale:-) Love your whimsical nativity, so adorable.

It sounds like so much fun to have a tree trimming party and I so enjoyed seeing the pictures of your beautiful family decorating their tree. xoxo

The reason for the season lies in the manger. Yet, the family together, singing, eating and enjoying their company i so special, too. Yours is a beautiful family!
