*WHEW.......

12/10/10

YAY..!!
I am  finished....
with my shopping
wrapping
decorating
(well, I am WORKING on the last area today)
...gifts beneath the tiny tree...
...a CHRISTMAS sea of colors...
...some of the BESTest things come in tiny packages...
*shhhhhhh..(especially when they are hand made by a granddad...)
♪♪you better watch out,
you better not pout.....☺♪♫♫
.... spilling out from beneath the tiny Christmas tree
to the hearth of the fireplace....
...FREE fresh pine greens, soaking in the bathtub....meant for the dining room mantel
which is going to be finished TODAY !

I had forgotten how much the needles fall from the live branches...
they will be totally dried by Christmas so I'm sure they will come down before then.

Now that I am thinking about it, I just MAY use them for an outdoor wreath...
then the needles can fall all they want too,
without me
stressing....:)
I baked cookies for the freezer and
I am taking my hair stylest a box of them today when I get a fresh, brand-new, sassy hair cut...:)
(how sassy can you be when you are knocking on the door of 73..?)

I have about 3 brand new magazines that I haven't had time to even open....
MAYBE now I'll have time to just......
chill......
....hope YOU can, too.
♥♥♥
I am linking with:
BLUE MONDAY because I can see some BLUES, heather and yon...
RUBY TUESDAY
3 OR MORE TUESDAY because there are more than THREE gifts here, people
NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAY...I am using several thrifted items here today; the wicker sleigh, for one..
isn't it cute!
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY...
love, bj

Ohhhhhhh, the JOY you must feel, of being done!!! WoW!

My decorating is about done. [Only 1 more string of Faerie Lights to drap somewhere] Presents about gotten. None wrapped. -pout- -sigh-

Everything at your house, looks so festive! You could give *poor ol' me* a complex, do you hear, Honey-Bun? A real c-o-m-p-l-e-x! Mine is not nearly so super festive. -another pout- What's with all my pouting, hu? -giggles-

A fresh, brand-new, sassy hair cut for you, hu? ,-) And I think we can be as sassy as we CAN manage, when we are in the 73 *neighborhood*! So there.

Funny, I wanted a change too, the other day. All I could change-to was shorter. ,-) So I guess I am a 73 year old PIXIE, for sure, now.

But I can cover it up with my "Mrs. Santa" hat! Which I did, when we went out on errands on Sat. morning. It's red with white lace trim. Had on my gray cape and a red winter scarf around my neck and I was ........ *Interesting* ,-0

'Uncle A.' is a sport, to go out with me, thus. lol. He's got a white beard but not enough, to do the Santa-Claus-Look. :-)

Lots and lots of gentle Winter hugs...

BJ ~ you're nothing less than inspiring. All that shopping, wrapping, baking, picture taking...
and time to look sassy doing it (:
Wishing you a wonderful time with family around your table. Blessings.

Love the tour - won't be many days until the big day arrives.

I agree in making the pine into a wreath and let the needles fall willy nilly. No sense is decorating the mantel two times.

Have a great week!

Chill just sounds so cold. :D But I do hope that you have time to be cozy and enjoy the fruits of your labors, which are many! I really want to know what is in those tiny packages, but I can be patient.

Hi bj, I am so jealous that you are almost done with your Christmas gifts and girl you have tons of them. They all look so pretty. The sleigh full of cookies is adorable. Honestly you 'sleigh' me. A little play on words here. Smile. BTW YOU are a very sassy grandma. You are beautiful, inside and out. I mean it.

You wouldn't believe it but we are completely snowed in here. It is supposed to snow tonight and all day again tomorrow. Our mountain is a blur of snow. It's pretty and I am glad my cupboards are stocked.
Check my post today.

Happy pink Saturday my sister friend.
Love, Jeanne

You are 'the bomb' to be all done with a cherry on top. Your tree looks wonderful and so exciting for the grandkids. You beat me...still have one more to buy but all the rest is wrapped. I have to wait to put them under the tree for awhile yet so the cats don't think they all belong to them and tear into them. Even seniors can be naughty!!. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

Guess what? I have the exact Christmas wine glasses that you have in your header picture:-) We have great taste!! hehe I was wrapping up gifts today as well, that's a longggg job, isn't it! Seeing all of the gifts you wrapped makes me want to go over there and shake them all! lol

I love fresh pine greens but as you say, they dry out so fast and you end up with a gadzillion needles all over the house. I may bring some in on Christmas Eve just to get the wonderful scent in my house:-) xoxo

I am closer to being DONE than ever at this time of the year! It is so cold here and I am not interested in getting out in it. Perhaps later in the week I will get out again! Love all of your sweet decorations and packages all wrapped:) Especially the tiny ones, can't wait to see what is in them!

HUGS!

It's a good feeling to have everything wrapped. I do it so no one can peek!! I still have more shopping...online of course because I wouldn't want to brave this weather or the shops now. I just wrap as I go.

Everything looks so festive at your house. I wouldn't worry about the evergreen falling apart. I use it every year on my mantel and it doesn't shed much at all. I never thought to soak it...that's a great idea, too!

Have a wonderful evening, BJ! :-)

XO,
Jane

You are my Christmas hero! (or is that heroine?) Anyway, I wish I were in sight of that finish line!

BJ,
I can tell that you and Granddad really love your family! Those packages are beautifully done, dear. You're still . . .one step. . .ahead of me, because I still have my baking to do!Thanks for showing us around! Please, dear one, take some time for hot coca, tea, or coffee and those magazines.
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. If you sneak a piece of that peppermint bark out of the freezer. . .whose to know? Unless, of course, you want to share!

Hi BJ
I've crossed the line along with you but your house looks way more Christmassy with all the presents. So pleased to see we aren't the only ones with a short table top tree.
Are you going to show us your new sassy haircut? Doesn't matter how old you are - look good, feel good!

Hi BJ,

My, you've been busy! It all looks so nice. Yes, I removed the fairy dust script from my blog because it was really working the cpu of my computer overtime.

I've found another blogger that has snow falling only within their header. I'm contacting them to see how they did that. That may not be as intensive as the whole page being filled with it.

Thanks so much for visiting with me. It's snowing, snowing, snowing right now. Our entire county road system and interstate and several that border us are all shut down.

Hugs,
Stephanie ♥

You've been busy! Looks like you are almost ready for Santa, so for the next two weeks you can read your new magazines and nibble on those cookies. Have a wonderful Texas Christmas!

You can keep those greens in water and make arrangements out of them. Might help with them drying out and prevent some of the shedding.

As for shopping and wrapping gifts, will you come to my house and finish mine too? Please? No? I didn't think so. I'm hoping I can get out this week before the weekend crowds.

Sara's Sweet Surprise said...

Hello BJ~WOW!you've gotten a lot accomplished.I took a peek around...everything is so beautiful and cozy. Now comes the fun part when you can really enjoy the fruits of your labor with that cup of cocoa.
We're making slow progress decking the halls at my home. Hubs cut our Christmas "TREEZILLA"!! down from the backyard this weekend. Turns out what grows outside really appears much smaller, lol. With my college boy home it has put us in a festive mood.
Do you like playing Christmas music while decorating? For me the music welcomes a wonderful sentiment of the season to the air, as does the aromas of baking.

It's good to be back, I hope you get a chance to stop by for a visit.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

In this marathon of Christmas preparations, I'm still a few miles back, desperately panting for breath. But I'm still able to give a weak little thumbs up to the onlookers who smile at me with pity. Your excitement over crossing the finish line is giving me a second wind. Run, Kelly, run...

You are GOOD, girl. Got all your presents wrapped. I am still working on that one. I am having one group of girls over at 4 for a little house tour and a glass of wine, then tomorrow there will be 7 of us here for the tennis girl Christmas party! I wish I knew some "sassy" gal that could come over and help???

Your home looks like so much fun and love!

I need a haircut, and my hair dresser left for a month's vacation. She was due back this past week, but she (according to "them") called in and quit! Woe is me!

Happy Blue Monday, BJ.

Let's see now.....10 grands....4-5 gifts each. Wow..I can just see the looks on their sweet faces when they see all those presents at your house BJ. Memories they will surely never ever forget. It must be so special to have them all close by. :) I visit my hairdresser too this week....not so sure about a new sassy do though. Having my hair washed by Susie is surely one of my most favorite stress busters. :) Happy week!
