A LOVE AFFAIR with PICKET FENCES....*SIGH

I have loved PICKET FENCES since .....
well.....
all my life !
*
This one is so pretty with all the bright colored flowers...
...and this one gives me the
{{{{hebbie}}}} {{{{jebbies}}}}

Now, this one is gorgeous but...
that little front squared off section reminds me of the
olden cemeteries....

May I just say that THIS beauty belongs to my friend,
ROBIN
She is in the middle of decorating her amazing
CAPE COD cottage and is doing an OUTSTANDING job of it...
Go by and say HI....and see her adorable cottage...
*

NOT A PICKET....but a
"HOLD STRONG" BARBED WIRE FENCE for the fight against BREAST CANCER !!
Had your mammogram this year ??

This one is so sweet, I don't know what to do...
Isn't this the very one that ALL girls dream about having....someday...
when their PRINCE CHARMING comes along !!
*
I know a lot of you recognize THIS pretty photo...
It belongs to
THE LADY KATHERINE.
Now....this may not be a PICKET fence...
but it's PICKET ENOUGH for me...
Drop by to visit and she will put the TEA KETTLE on !!
*
Now...I WANT THIS LITTLE COTTAGE...
somewhere on a magnificent LAKE...
O HONEY !
YEP....I think MR. SWEET and myself need to find our place
ON GOLDEN POND !!
...dreaming of a DREAMY PICKET FENCE....

Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend..

A white picket fence is dreamy....at our last house, for my birthday one year, Mister gave me a picket fence around my garden where I grew veggies, herbs and raspberries. It had a sweet garden gate.
Your pictures are wonderful, BJ!
And that cottage - the fairytale one - right on!

These are so pretty! Just something about being housed in by a white picket fence! In June, I did a post on 'Cottages by the Sea' while visiting a little town in NC. The houses and fences just get ya'! In my dreams, I live in one of these! check it out at http://threepixielane.blogspot.com/2010/06/cottages-by-sea.html

Love the picket fences-especially since we have a rather big on with 1924 old fashioned pickets all painted 3 times by hand!

Nothing says, "Home Sweet Home," to me, more than a picket fence. I loved seeing your pictures, BJ, and hope you and Mr. Sweet get your cottage and picket fence on your own "Golden Pond" someday.

Oh BJ, I LOVE picket fences too! When we built our current house 8 years ago, I wanted and all-white house with a white picket fence! I have the bestest ever husband and that is exactly what I got:) I enjoyed all of your pictures and I just had my mammogram, thanks for the reminder for those who have not!

Blessings to you and yours! HUGS!

hhmm dreaming of a picket fence . . . . I did that when I was younger and seeing movies. But a fence as short as these once is not very common here in my place. But I do love them with it's porches too.

Now that cottage (where you mention about Princh Charming). Oh I don't mind if it's not P.C. as long as the cottage is that LOL I wonder if the people who live there are as sweet as their home.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Hold on, BJ, I'll be right back!

Ok I am ready! Had to get a drink & 2 tea cookies to join you with ... here's your peanut butter tea cookie, BJ.

Love your picket fences, every one of them. When we moved in we put in a picket fence & our neighbor informed us he didn't like it ... I told him 'tough, I do'. Yup, I sure did tell him that.

Yes, I could sit at her table forever ... she's a delightful hostess.

Have a lovely PINK weekend.

Oh BJ that was marvelous. I love my cape cod house and so wanted a picket fence, but can't get HH to agree. I have a white gate in my garden so that will have to do. Oh well, it is just perfect the way it is. I did enjoy that painting. That is the kind of things I like to do. Nothing worth showing yet though.
Great post.

Oh, BJ This was the greatest post on picket fences! I do have my Prince, and my home is now covered up with plants, reminds me of a cottage. I Loved the Barbed wire, the strong hold, I needed that so much this week! So sweet of you to include me in your picket fence. If I could I would have a real picket fence, I bought over $2000.00 worth of fence at Home Depot, not picket for it was on sale and similar to my fence except it's white with lattice on top. I thought it was 4 feet tall as mine is, but it is 6 feet tall so it sits, not up. This week my daughter had her first mammogram, for she had found a lump several months ago. She has 3 cysts and some fatty tissue. I think she will be OK, she was scared because of me, and I was too. Thank for featuring me in such a wonderful post and reminding all to have their mammogram!

I forgot to say, I love this drink! What is it??? Did I miss?? Great for a Tea! I have watermelon and cantaloupe ready to make a drink!

Thanks for Cheering my up! You will never know How much !!!! I needed to be reminded today!

They tell their own stories don't they! But I don't want to paint them!

Gorgeous new Header and blog Look!!! So soft.

Interesting, since I've been trying for a softer look to my blog too. Interesting how we have themes, which call to us, at times.

I suppose I'll be back to in-your-face-clear-color Header photos again, some time. But right now... It's all softness, which calls me. :-)

Oh yes, picket fences. And cottages. Doesn't get much better than that. :-)

Will go visit your friend's cottage blog. How could I resist?!?

Gentle hugs...

Oh BJ, these are wonderful. I love that English looking cottage with the picket fence. Oh, and I'd have to fight you for that other cute picketed cottage if it was on Golden Pond. (Maybe I could just come visit you if you got it.) I enjoyed all of these photos, and that wondrful strawberry drink looks delicious. Thank you for linking to Favorite Things Sat. laurie
