RANDOM BLUES.....

I'M playing in BLUE MONDAY over at SMILING SALLY'S today...
Be sure to swing by and say hello to her and to all the others that have their BLUES out...just for you !!
**
THIS olden looking kitchen has long been a favorite of mine...( I am calling the greens here BLUE)
I love the chippiness of the paint...
the old styled sink...
the beautiful, sparkly chandy hanging above all the shabbiness of the kitchen...
HOWEVER...I often wonder, altho I LOVE looking at this kind of room....
could I REALLY live in one ??
**
I've never lived with CHIPPING paint...I've always leaned toward "freshly" painted objects...
hmmmmm.....I wonder if I would really like it, after all...
....i don't really know....
*
These silly "TEETH" treats were made by a friend of mine...
She got the recipe from PIONEER WOMAN...
...slices of apple, peanut butter and miniature marshmellows...
(SALLY, my shirt is DARK blue and....see that plate on the wall behind me?? :O)
My youngest grandluv, DEEDS, spent the night with me last night...
We snuggled and slept like babies all night...
She loves washing dishes...
*
She helped me make a pasta salad....
got the great recipe from DEB at HOWDY FROM COWTOWN...delicious!!

and some PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES...
**
.....we had a GOOD time !!

Hi BJ Sweetie...
Happy Monday sweetie. I have often wondered that myself about one of those kitchens. I am afraid I would be picking at it all the time, and would eventually get out a sander and be painting it fresh in no time at all.

I love your teeth. Those look like fun, and I will have to try those with my grandkids next weekend. Those would be fun.

Love the blue shirt sweetie. Yep that counts as blue.

Sweet Deeds could come over and do some dishes at my house. If she likes doing dishes for gosh sake, keep her.

Love your post sweetie. Have a great Monday. Country hugs, Sherry

I love the look of chippy paint, but I don't know if I could love with a room full or house full of it either....

Hugs,
Penny

Love your little blue shirted gran, my girls love to wash dishes too. I have a few "chippy pieces", but I don't think a whole room would be good for me. Happy Blue Monday.

I'm with you, that kitchen is a beautiful place to visit, but I don't know if I would want to cook there. I love those teeth, they are too funny!

How is our little Deeds? My poor Amy is home sick with me today. While I hate that she doesn't feel good, I LOVE having her home with me. You had me cracking up at that picture of you with the big ole' teeth! I'm gonna have to make those for my kiddos. I got all the ingredients too!

This is my first comment to you.
I'm an avid reader of your blog... and have it on my list of 'Sites I Like' on my blog.
It is so delightful. SO DELIGHTFUL.

Today I laughed out loud when I saw you wearing those marshmallow teeth!
You said one time 'what's mine is yours' (in the way of pictures, etc.) so I'm going to put that picture on my blog today!
(Thank you.)

Hi BJ! I love that kitchen picture. I've seen it somewhere before and remember loving the old shelf above the sink. I've often wondered about the chippiness too. I love the look but it would probably bug me.

Those cute apple mouths would be perfect treats to take to my tutoring students one day. Have to remember those. :)

Love the new header! I think the apple teeth would be fun for my little grands, thanks for passing along the idea. As for chippy paint, I love seeing it in other's homes, but I could live with it.

I'll have some of those peanut butter cookies BJ. Am I really this far behind in your blog? I just checked my google reader and I see I have three whole posts unread! *sigh*, I've been so busy.
I often look at pictures of pretty rooms in a magazine and as I really look it over I realize it is pretty to look at but I wouldn't want to live in it. The kitchen here is a bit too chippy for me. Wouldn't you feel your house wasn't being kept up properly? I would!

Ooh, I loves me some pasta salad, and apples with PB is sooooooo yummy! And cookies! wAaaaaaaaaaaaa! You're killin' me, sis!

BJ, I love the look of the kitchen, its cottage style, and chippiness. BUT.... There is no way I could live with the imperfection! LOL I am a girl who gets just a little upset if I get a ding or a chip in my furniture or woodwork! Love the little lips- when I first saw the pic of you with them I laughed out loud. Holy Moley- what did she do? is what I asked myself. ~grin~
Hugs, Sue
