BREAKFAST IN THE RAIN....

3/24/10
THIS IS A REPOST from last summer...

**
The temp today was wonderful...low 70's but OH, so windy. When it gets a little nicer, I won't be using PAST POSTS...:)

hosted by SUSAN..
Please stop over and leave her a great comment and see all the other outdoor things going on...

About 5 am, the thunder, lightening and HARD rain awakened me..
I jumped out of that soft, warm, snuggly bed....
knowing I didn't want to miss A SINGLE DROP...
**
Right out to the porch I went....and may I just say that it was COOL out there....
COOL, temp wise...
and, WAY COOL because it was raining....
...isn't our new porch swing so pretty?
I just love it !! It makes the whole front of the cottage
look much better!
***

I knew right away that this was another morning on the porch ...
breakfast in the rain...
It just doesn't get much better than that for me..
***
GRAVY !!
GOOD GRIEF, but I love it ! So does MR. SWEET...
We don't eat it very often at all but every now and then, I just seem to
wake up hungry for it.
and....sausage sure goes gooood with gravy.
***
Our paper was in a plastic bag that morning so I am sure the
paper boy knew something I didn't.....;>)
**
I've been just busy enough that I hadn't paid any attention to the weather forcasts...
***

Can you see that those leaves are wet?

I love it !! Yes, I do!

*

This is a pretty neat olden tray that I'm using this morning.
EBAY, of course!!
**
Flowers from my garden...and don't you get tickled when you see the juice leaning waaay over to that side..:O)
***

Here comes the sun...
What a fabulous rain we were blessed with.
***

What a wonderful way to start my day...
GOD'S blessing of a most needed rain...
then GOD'S sunshine to nourish both body and soul...
*
coral red roses growing in my garden.....
**
.....a good cup of DUNKIN' DONUT coffee and
sweet orange juice served in that cute little
crystal champagne glass.......
*
and a newspaper that is DRY,
due to the thoughtfulness of our sweet paper boy !
***
AIN'T LIFE GRAND !!

Sounds and looks wonderful, BJ. We haven't had a meal on the back porch yet, but did on the deck, last week at the lake.

I did a past post too, today....really it was a post about the past!LOL

Your yard looks so green and pretty. Everything here in PA is just starting to come alive after being buried in a couple of feet of snow two weeks ago.

You serve the kind of breakfast I like. I do not need them, but love biscuits and gravy with crisp bacon or ham. You really shared a lot of lovely things today. I always enjoy visiting your place.

Methinks it's new to me so I'm glad you reposted. I do love rainy days though we don't get many here in Southern California.
