Not having fresh pine greens to use, I just cut a few cedar greens and, they have worked out just great...I do like the looks of them ALMOST as much as the pine....but they surely don't smell as wonderful as fresh cut pine boughs......

I use the same dishes over and over and over again...
but how fun it is to pull out all the CHRISTMAS dishes and add them to my normal setting....
**Just a few CHRISTMAS items can make a table just SPARKLE with excitement...
~~~ESPECIALLY when there's a lot of RED.....!!
....do you suppose there is ANYone, ANYwhere, that doesn't LOVE the color RED...??
Well, I do believe we have much in common. Thanks for coming by my place and all the nice things you had to say. I love your table. I think I spy a "Heritage" pattern creamer with candy canes inside and a bow on the handle. I have a set of that pattern.
I love the striped candle. Please visit again soon. And so will I.
Mama Bear
It's all the little touches that make a table magnificent. Thanks for the hint about the turnovers... I'll be trying those!
BJ, your red and white Christmas table is PERFECT! I love, love, love everything about it. Those candy cane cookies look yummy!
About fresh pine greens...some other blogger - I don't remember who, said they go to Lowe's or Home Depot...both of those stores sell fresh cut trees and they always cut some of the lower branches off and toss aside. All you need to do is ask for them and they give them away FREE!!
I love red, also! Too much probably - is that possible? I haven't even thought about a Christmas table yet - I need to get crackin' on that. You've inspired me to do red. Sally
Love you table. I adore the red and white for Christmas too! Very classic!
Hugs,
Joanne
The gorgeous candy strip theme of your tablescape is so pretty. I love it all. Hugs, Marty
Everything is so pretty and festive, BJ! I LOVE the whimsical plates with the different scenes, and the napkin rings! Red and white schemes just scream CHRISTMAS! ...and you did a wonderful job putting everything together!
They also have red and white round and smaller pillars at Family Dollar Stores. I really like the ones you found at Wal-mart! ~hugs, Rhonda :)
Bj-Just on Tuesdays..but I go with the flow :) You can link at BNOTP too! You may have noticed I too love candy canes and stripes! I love your table!!!
I think you did it up grand THIS year!
It all looks wonderful! And I bet your home is filled with lots of good cheer and LOVE this time of year!
I love all the red you use in your Christmas decorating! It really gives off a happy feeling! I haven't made my candy cane cookies this year. (They are on the schedule for next week.) Yours look very tasty! Thanks for sharing all the pretty pics!
Hello BJ, you may use the same dishes over and over but who would know. You always make everything beautiful and festive in a different way for every holiday. Honestly BJ, a beautiful table is an art form with you. Always a perfectly delightful fast for our eyes. Mmmmm and the desserts. Our store doesn't carry the Haaggen-dais coffee ice cream anymore. Sigh. It is soooo good.
Christmas love, Jeanne
HA!, Jeanne
BJ, your red and white table is so festive. I'm a fan of candy canes and that's just what this table reminds me of. The plates are cute. The cookies and pie and ice cream made me wish for a bite tonight. Looks yummy! Speaking of ice cream, do you ever crush up peppermint candy and mix it into vanilla ice cream? Oh so good! ~ Sarah
Sweet BJ, I love your candy cane red and white table you sure did it justice...Thank you so much for mentioning my blog I try to make it nice for people to see and I am happy it made an impression, you can't ask for more...I have a couple more Christmas things to show and i know you will want to see the kitchen bay window filled with large jars full of all sizes of candy canes, I know you will love it...don't know if you have a dollar tree store where you are but they always have the old fashioned large thick straight candy canes 2 for a dollar...Thanks again sweet bj for being so nice to a new comer...Phyllis
I love your red and white Christmas table bj. Those plates are wonderful. I know I've said it before, but you make everyone feel welcome!
Blessings,
Marcia
BJ everything looks delightful, but that candy cane candle really caught my eye!
Warmest hugs,
I just really love this table! Red and white, candy canes, the plates, the glassware and that AWESOME SANTA!!! Cindy
Well Lady, awesome...the glasess, the dishes, napkin rings, your candy canes...just everything. I can always count on you putting a smile on my face when I cometo see you AND putting pounds on my already too large hips with your wonderful food, especially the sweets.
If I don't get back, Iam sending you warm wishes for you and your family for a Blessed Christmas.
Barbara
It's not about what you use to decorate, it is how you use it! And dear BJ... your sure know how to put it all together. Whether it came from Walmart or the Dollar Store, you make it all look so beautiful and hey, I hear Pepperidge Farms wants to use your pictures:) Have a blessed day!
As you know, we have the serious love of RED in common....and your table is THE TABLE that I think is prettier than all of the other lovely Christmas tables I've seen in Bloglandia this year because it's very much my taste.
I could scroll your photos all day long and daydream. Just beautiful!!
How totally lovely. You know, as much as I enjoy the themed decor of some blogs and homes I always feel so cozy when surrounded by the traditional Christmas colors. Your home wraps me in happiness...
BJ, how do you do it! You set the prettiest tables and serve the most delicious down home food. I bet everyone just loves to come to you home.
Oh BJ - I want to come over and spend the day with you! Your Chrismas decor is PERFECTION!
BJ it is all so pretty! I love every single bit of your Christmas home!
Your red and white Christmas table is FABULOUS!! I LOVE it. Also those little candy cane cookies are so CUTE! Your decorations are so wonderful....it just looks magical at your home.♥
Good morning, my friend - Your table is wonderful and such an inspiration to me. I have the same napkin rings, also found on clearance at WalMart last year. They are special because I live on Holly Street and I try to feature holly in my decorating (my sweetheart's idea a few years ago!). Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. I'll be back soon to see more.
~Adrienne~
Your table does look so pretty and the food so yummy! That picture is just the cutest.
I would love that bj, I would havek a button that people could pick up but I don't know how to do that...anyway I would love to see one of my pictures on your sight, someday I will figure out that dang button thing lol...Thank you my friend. Phyllis
What a festive table. I love the Santa...the candy cane candle is another of my favorites.
A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Ooh, now this is what I call a tablescape! I LOVE red and white together. Just love it to pieces and you used cedar on your table just like Gloria did! All I have in my hard is these really ugly, tall pine trees... don't think I can do much with them. Hrm...
Can't believe those glasses came from a fast food place!
Justine :o )
Hi BJ,
Your blog has to be one of the happiest places on earth! Your table is so colorful, cheerful, and inviting; your philosophy of life, love, friendship, and family is truly heart-warming and inspirational. Thank you for all the visits and encouraging comments during the past six months.
Happy Holidays!
Bill
Oooo....I love your red table and I think it's great that you keep adding to it year after year....that's what makes it all so special.
I know what you mean about those Peppridge Farm turnovers, they are great. I keep them in the freezer too. Yum!
Hi BJ- Your home is all ready for Christmas. It is so beautiful. What a lovely red and white table! Great attention to detail. Love the cedar greens, they look so "frilly". Your post was like reading a design magazine!
Merry Christmas, my friend.
Yvonne
Those plates are so pretty! My mom always brought out "Christmas Dishes" to use during the holidays and that was one of my favorite traditions.
Good morning. you have such beautful pictures. you have inspired me to dress up my table this year; haven't done that lately. I am a new blogger and trying to learn from someone who knows the ropes.
Oh BJ! Nothing could be more beautiful than your tablescape and holiday decorating! Everything is charming, cozy, and creative! Warm and wonderful! Happy Foodie Friday! Enjoy! Hugs, Coralie
Hey BJ!
Thanks so much for your very sweet comments on my livingroom. Yes, I think that if you start adding some whites and cremes with your brown leather, that you can create a lighter affect. Try adding a creme colored throw with some creme throw pillows and some burlap pillows, then gradually bring in whites. I think white, creme and brown creates a very pretty look.
I have a feeling that soon we will be looking at your newly decorated room.
No, I don't have a button, I need to get one. I'll work on that.
hugs~Sissie
Good Morning BJ...
Oh my gosh sweetie, you have inspired me to create, at least something in red and white for Christmas dinner. How beautifula dn festive your table looks. I just love it. What a wonderful job you have done. I love those candy cane candles. How devine is that?
All the beautiful little happiness pieces that you have added to this setting. I love the white Santa, he is adorable and looks so much like WINTER. Lovin it.
Thank you so much for sharing today. What a wonderful treat, and I so love it. Thank you also for stopping by and saying hi. I so love it when you visit.
I just wanted to share a few of my friends with each of you all, this way you all get to know them too. I am still going to showcase a few as they season goes on. I thought it would be nice. So glad you enjoyed.
Have a beautiful day sweetie.
Country hugs...Sherry
Girl, your table is drop dead gorgeous. It looks wonderful. I love, love, love it.
And, I love, love, love you, too.
That is one of the prettiest tables yet. I just saw those candy cane candles at Walmart this morning, I almost bought them, now I'm going to go back there before they are gone. The only thing I saw missing on that table was your famous pecan pie. :)
Merry Christmas,
Chris
Lovely table. My husband loves to have one of those turnovers just about every night. I will have to try baking them your way with the butter and cinnamon. Have a great day!
BJ, as usual your table makes me want to collect every dish I can get my hands on just to copy you. It is all so beautiful! I MUST get to Walmart and get some of those candles. You make everything just glow :>)
Your table is lovely. I do believe you are ready for Christmas. Cookies look wonderful! Merry Christmas:)
Your table looks perfect to me, but the best part about it is the love that went into it. Why mess with perfection?
BJ, you are so sweet to stop by and say hi. I'm doing fine, just busy and my blogging "duties" have fallen behind. I did get a chance to do a post on my kitchen last night, so please come on over! Happy Holidays!
I'm sorry I'm late for the party! An asthma attack hit and I've been operating at half speed. My husband prescribed a new inhaler so I'm good to go.
Now to your beautiful Foodie Friday post. I love the candy canes and your red theme. And that striped candle has to be the most festive touch ever. The Pepperidge Farm turnovers are my favorites, too. Your Christmas salad plates and tablescaping ideas are perfect!
Sweet Wishes,
Mlee
Oh your Christmas reds looks so pretty -- love the candy cane look of things -- and that dessert! Yum!
Your table is so pretty and festive. I have Arby's goblets I found at a thrift shop. They have a holly design on them.
