A CHRISTMAS PIANO RECITAL ...

THIS was the first piano recital my grandgirls had ever had and may I just say....
I LOVED IT !This is BRYNNA and DEEDS and their family, minus one brother.....he had to work and couldn't come.
***
My photos didn't turn out very well...lighting maybe ?
Excitement maybe??
Afterwards, the guys left to go on a week-end hunting trip...
so "us" girls headed to
THE TEXAS ROADHOUSE
to eat...
That's the one that has barrels full of peanuts and ya just throw the hulls on the floor...It just blows my mind and, at first, I had a REALLY hard time doing that...
but later, I did it and .....IT WAS FUN !
*
We had a BABY BLOSSOM onion to start with and it was so good I wanted to marry it...
I had a great house salad, NO dressing, and a grilled pork chop, mushrooms and peppercorn dressing..
Um Um...GOOD!

OOO....here we are, waiting for our table....

The best part of all ???...
Spending time with these 3 beautiful young ladies !!!!
********
MERRY CHRISTMAS....
I am linking with OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY
since this was an "outing" and it's Christmas related and Susan said "anything goes" thru the holidays....
:O)

What fun! I remember when my kids were little, going to recitals and performances and I adored it!

Some people cringe at watching kids perform, but even if the kids are struggling, my heart is always warmed.

I'm so glad you get to spend time with your family!!

I had to begin using word verification again when silly spammers left so many comments on various posts. I spent so much time deleting them!

Grandchildren are precious, and I'm glad you had another chance to love on yours.

I love how you and your family have so many special celebrations together. I remember my own girls piano recitals and how excited they were to dress up and show off the progress they made with all their practice:>)

What a fun night for you! the girls are beautiful! How long have they been taking piano? Were they nervous?

Why no dressing on your salad???

How perfect for the holidays...a piano recital! I would have loved that too. Your girls are just beautiful!

I love Texas Roadhouse...my favorite is their baby back ribs - they are fall off the bone tender!
Hugs,
Penny

p.s. you were right when you thought I had said I was going to paint my studio floor. After paiting the base coat of white and using it for a little time, I could see it would get marked up with my desk chair....so I knew the paint wouldn't handle "studio" life. So we laid down tile.

Hi BJ :) What a sweet post! You can se the intent look on your granddaughters face as she plays! Great shot!
Thanks again for the tip on my blog about the now... I appreciate it so much! I can't see what others are seeing unless they tell me... Its great to have a friend like you!

Anyway, I want to also tell you that the Hotel Del Coronado WAS In the movies... They used it as the backdrop for "Some Like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis and also "The Stuntman".

Have fun today!

I have never been to a piano recital before either and it looks like such fun. Your granddaughters are precious!

I love Texas Roadhouse too. It is okay to throw the hulls on the floor, just not at each other, which used to happen with my kids! lol!!

Happy holiday, sweet lady!

Hi BJ,
Looks like you had a grand time with those pretty girls. How fun to be close enough that you can get together like that. I never had a grandmother around, and my girls don't have grands around either. Ah, well. I plan on living close to mine, if I ever have any! (That's way,way off in the future!)
The piano recital must have been very exciting, and the girls looked so elegant in their pretty dresses!
Have a wonderful week! Thanks for visiting.

I love the way they're dressed. And how wonderful to have a girls night out.
I've never been able to throw the peanut hulls on the floor, either, so I just make a little pile on the table some where.
