5/12...MORE 2ND TIME AROUND & RUBY TUESDAY

Time again for the 2ND TIME AROUND TUESDAY that we all look forward to...
DIANE is such a sweetie for hosting this fun day...
She has a list over at her place of other bloggers that are showing us their
2ND TIME AROUNDERS....
*
*
This is a little chest of drawers that I bought for my little boy of 2..
He is now 44 !! (sorry, David ..heh heh)
I don't have a photo of it BEFORE..
try to picture the typical cherry finish .
*
When I wanted to use it in my PINK guest bedroom..
OF COURSE I had to paint it...
don't know if you know it or not but.......
I DEARLY LOVE PAINTED FURNITURE ....
A LOT !!
The color PINK often calls for ROSES..
so when I found the little rose knobs, I knew they
should be on this chest..!!
This PINK bedroom is the only place where I do FOO-FOO....
but it's a lot of fun to do it there.....
*
I have really enjoyed my
2ND TIME AROUND CHEST...
and thanks for coming by to see it today ....
******************************************
WORKS OF THE POET is host for
RUBY TUESDAY
It's a lot of fun...especially if you love Red as much as I do.
Go over to see all the other reds flowing all over Blogland.
*
I bought this little CUP towel the other day at Target or Walmart ?
too plain, tho !
A little RED ball fringe stepped it up a notch... I would nearly
SWEAR I heard the rooster CROW !!

I added some to this little FRENCH cook... and I'll
swear, I think his little french grin got a little bigger...
*
Seems any place I can add a touch of RED makes me happy...

this little cutie came home with me from JAMAICA...
This is my favorite little CUP towel , I think....
could it be because I got this on our wonderful
FAMILY CRUISE last October ?
I am sure it could be! WE HAD SUCH A FUN TIME....!!

I'm in the process of adding red to my own cottage -- your fabulous "cup towels" inspire me! They are adorable!

LOVE the painted chest, BJ! I've painted a few pieces of furniture but still have guilt about painting natural wood. Not sure how to get over it.

You must have been following Kandice and I while we made selections for her shower! She put some of the French Chef towels and a potholder and oven mitt on her list. They were just sooo cute! Think all three of us have a lot of the same tastes. Of course, you're smart and can crochet pretty red edging on yours. Your BBF here doesn't know how to crochet. The pretty little pink chest is just perfect for your foo foo room. Just loved your blog today.

Love you too!

Hee, hee! Noticed after I sent my comments that I uh sort of goofed on my abreviation. Okay, so I'm not good at that sort of thing -- it's BFF. Now I think I got it right, but you knew what I meant anyway.

You did a great job on the dresser! I love painted wood too, Butter (my husband) was not to happy when I started to paint any natural or stained wood but now he has come over to the dark side and doesn't mind when I paint! Cute reds! Thanks for sharing.

I love the little chest with the sweet roses on it. I also think it is neat to have the older furniture that was built better.

Your little pink dresser is precious. I love painted furniture too and don't have a single piece. My boys still have their childhood furniture and I'm thinking of painting it black. We'll see.

Love, love the cup towels! The red ball fringe is perfection!

Girl they made furniture to last back then. I hate how you buy something now and it falls apart.

Hi
Wow I am really
at the end of the line to comment ,hey thats ok.
I love the foo foo pink you are using.
I'm still not there yet but Iam getting bolder with a paintbruch all the time.
After all you have to be yourself at some point.
I love the ball fringe you added to those cute kitchen towels.
I remember back in the 60's
adding ball fringe to pillow covers made out of washclothes ,adding them to the bottom of curtains, and to pajama bottoms, lampshades,etc..
it was so much fun to use the ball fringe.
Thank you for sharing such an awesome post.
blessings to you and yours.

That dresser turned out beautifully! I especially love those sweet rose knobs. Little details like that really make such a big difference!

Oh how I love the addition of the trim on those cute towels! Just that little bit turns them into something special! I agree, my favorite of the towels you have here is the cute on from Jamaica.
