LOOK WHAT I DID....

A friend brought some PECANS over from his last years crop and I
HAD
to make a PECAN PIE
(my very favorite of all)
I am so proud that I FELT like being in the kitchen long enuf
to make a pie...

That's a GOOD thing

I took so many pictures of it because....

1. Proud of my accomplishment today...

AND

2. I think PECAN PIES are just plain pretty...
******************

HOW I WISH YOU COULD ALL COME BY FOR A COLD DRINK
and
A PIECE OF HOMEMADE PIE

(Now I am waiting for my sweet son-in-law to bring some APRICOTS off his trees...
Do we all ever love homemade

APRICOT FRIED PIES

I am pretty sure those are what the angels in Heaven eat !

love, bj

Pecan pies are pretty...I've not thought of them in that way, but they are!

And not only pretty to look at, but even better to eat.

Sounds like you are getting your strength back! That's a good thing!

Oh my gosh, I can almost TASTE that pie!
I never bake pecan pies because no one in my family likes them except me - everyone thinks they're too sweet and too rich... is there such a thing as too sweet or too rich?? I think not!!

BJ, I am glad you feel well enough to be in the kitchen, and the pecan pie looks wonderful. Those pecans look like the ones I order from Georgia every year from Atwell Pecan Company. It also looks like the pecan pie I make with the light colored filling instead of one made with dark Karo syrup.

Slice me a piece. I'll be right over.
