Beautiful Christmas BITS and BOBS

HELLO, EVERYBODY....
I'm sorry that this is such a long post...
So many things to take photos of here at this wonderful time of the year...
Everywhere I look, I see FESTIVE.

My sweet blogging bud, AUDREY, that owns TIMELESS TREASURES blog,
showed us her BEAUTIFUL
CHALK BOARD on her beautiful
CHRISTMAS MANTEL.....

Well, SURPRISE...SURPRISE...
it isn't a CHALK BOARD
after all.

It's a FREE PRINT from
KELLIE of
NEST OF POSIES.....
and Audrey had it enlarged.

I really, REALLY love it and wanted one, too.
Since we are in the middle of packing to move.....
I didn't want to make a LARGE one right now so I just did
the original size that I had a cute little SILVER colored frame that would work...
NEXT YEAR, I will do a really BIG one...
aren't they so adorable.
Go over to NEST OF POSIES and you can have one, too.

 As for the Golden Deer...
I think I won him in a package giveaway a few years back.

He's glittery and full of Christmas bling.

...doesn't it look JUST like REAL CHALKBOARD...?
I am sooo impressed and tickled with my little version of it.
*************************************
I must be CRAZY because, here in the midst of getting
ready for CHRISTMAS....
and packing to move...
I STILL
want to go.........thrifting.
what's wrong with me...??
Not sure WHY I liked this little snowman sign....
but, I did, so....I bought it at the thrift store for $2.00.
LIVE   (to the inch of your life)
LOVE (as if there's no tomorrow)
LAUGH (til you almost p your pants) (ah ummm...i said p)
BUT....
gone are the days when I can just be satisfied with things the way they are...
Oh, Yes....I've been hanging out too long with
TALENTED PEOPLE who live in BLOGLAND.
Ya'll have put ideas in my head...
crafty ideas, at that...

So, I decided these little snow guys needed some SPARKLE....
some GLITZ.....
some pizaaazzzzzz....
and, for the first time in my olden life,
I DISCOVERED
GLITTER PAINT....
I put a little on their carrot noses...
...and a little on the board and grapevine

It took on a greenish, sparkly, STRICTLY
CHRISTMAS
look.....

:)

...tied a little BLACK and WHITE checked ribbon on it and..

I'm in LUV  ♥
I've loved Santa's boots forever but have never had one...
so, of COURSE, when I saw this with a tiny tree in it,
I said, "This is too cute"....
I promptly placed it in ....the POWDER ROOM, with my little
birdie candelabra .....
with the little battery candles that glow and flicker just like
REAL CANDLES.
Oh....
and there's my 2012 SUSAN BRANCH calendar in the background...

"The air smells of frost. The house is making the soft breathing sounds very old houses make at night."    Gladys Taber
and we ALL know the HEALING POWERS of a
Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup !!!
:>)
I ordered and received my 2013 SUSAN BRANCH calendars 2 months ago...
if you want one, you order them on HER BLOG
and you should order right away because she sells out sooo fast.
Someone told me that SOMEtimes you can find her calendars in the mall.

The FUN thing about ordering the 2013 calendars early was that if you
ordered 2, she would throw in a 3rd for free.
Yahoo...one for daughter
one for daughter*in*law
and one for myself.
Gotta love it !
***********************************************************
I love finding food or drink that is delicious and telling YOU about it,
in case you didn't know.
AND, in case you didn't know about
BOLTHOUSE FARMS MOCHA CAPPUCCINO....
be SURE to try it....ummmmmm sooo good

LOVE is when your hubby goes to the grocery store for bread and milk and comes home with not ONLY bread and milk
but
A bright red COCA*COLA
and a BIG HERSHEY BAR because he knows YOU love them.

He is such a sweet sweet man.

I am blessed.
I just hope I am good enuf for him.

As always enjoyed your daily report of what is happening in your part of the world.

But I must have missed something along the way in a previous post.- where and when are you moving?

Have a very Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus.

That snowman sign is so much cuter all blinged up! What's a few more things to toss in boxes when you are packing anyway? Everything looks wonderful!

Thrifting is a way of life.....it knows no season! What a find and how cute those Snowmen are - especially after YOU got through with them!

The glitter paint was the perfect touch on your snowmen. Sparkle and shine! That little bird faux candle holder caught my eye, too. I love the look of candles, but real flame candles make me nervous. Too many years with a big, mischievous, swishy tailed, climbing Persian cat in the house. The cat is long gone now, but lit candles are still nervewrackin' to me. I think that the urge to go thrift sale-ing is just you being in the mood to feather your soon-to-be new nest. Merry Christmas!

I found my Susan Branch in Georgia on my visit to Sandy is September.
It's just a sittin' here on my desk waiting for January. I LOVE it!
You have some cutesy things there.
Love the little chalkboard in a pretty frame and the little Santa boot with a tree. It's the little things isn't it?? It's just those little things.
Merry Christmas sweet friends..

Oh I'm sure that Mr. Sweet would say that you're all the life companion that he wants in this world. Yup. Sure of it. Just ask him!

You do the cutest things...loving the snowmen all glitzed up. (Love the photo of you working on your snowflakes, too. All you need is your tongue hanging out a wee bit like the kindergarteners do.)

Always joy here...always!

You have so much going on in this post / I really enjoyed it. I have visited before and remember thinking that the worst or at least the hardest time to move would have to be around the holidays.

That little snowman sign was a bargain and then you totally transformed it...so darn cute! : )

Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
