PURE FUN

 I SCREAM ...YOU SCREAM....
WE ALL SCREAM  FOR  ICE CREAM....

I've heard that saying all my life and it always brings smiles and a huge hunger for that delicious treat that we enjoy YEAR 'ROUND.
Sweet grand, DEEDS, spent 4 days with me this week
and did we ever have fun...
We ate at all the fun places like
TACO BELL
DER WEINERSCHNITZEL
and
THE GOLDEN ARCHES
Today, we are trying
THE PIE BAR....oooo, can't wait.

In the middle of all of it, I remembered
THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL over at
KITCHEN BOUQUET
I must admit that THIS is FROZEN YOGURT...
CHOCOLATE...STRAWBERRY AND VANILLA
We had NO bananas (as they contain LOTS of fat, we don't eat them anymore)
but grapes and strawberries fit the bill very nicely......

I adore this olden, over sized ironstone sugar bowl.....I use it
to hold some of my vintage flatware....
including spoons that are PERFECT
for an old fashioned
ICE CREAM SOCIAL.
OOO, WE ARE SOOO BAD....
Squares of HERSHEY CHOCOLATE nestled in the ice cream and whipped cream ......*sigh

When I break down and buy ICE CREAM....
Starbucks COFFEE is almost impossible to beat in MY book.
Hope you will go by the KITCHEN BOUQUET and join in the fun of
an ICE CREAM SOCIAL....
Thanks much for stopping by to sample MINE. :)
Is there a grandmother out there that can relate to my
eating at DER with a grandgirl that was probably one of the best
lunches in my entire life ??
I have a BUNCH of those kind of lunches, for which I am sooo thankful.
XOXOXO bj

  1. What a wonderful post! You granddaugher is a beauty and it looks like the two of you have a great time when she visits. Nothing like a grandma!!! Grandmas have and do all the good stuff :-) At least while grandbabies are around. Your strawberry yogurt split looks and sounds absolutely wonderful!! I'm so glad you took the time to participate this year. I have been a slacker in blogging but this gave me the motivation I needed to getting going again :-) Thanks for coming to the social!!

  3. What a wonderful lunch partner, BJ :) She is adorable! There is nothing better than an ice cream (or frozen yogurt) sundae filled with fruit. I've never tried the Starbucks Coffee flavor but I will based on your comment. I love the dish with the ice cream butler on it.

Hope you try the fudgsicles. They are sooo good and taste just like the real thing.

  4. If you must have a partner in crime...Deeds makes a great one! I've never tried Starbucks ice cream...I thought Hershey's coffee ice cream was plenty good enough, though that looks so yummy.
