SHADOWS...

 I LOVE SHADOWS..
sooo, I decided to play in HARRIET'S
SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY...
Some of the photos are older...
some made TODAY...

A SELF-SHADOW on a quaint, wooden bridge over
the RIO GRANDE RIVER in FUN VALLEY, COLORADO...
A great-fun trip with cousins last summer.
Even MY shadow..taking a photo of....SHADOWS
This is a favorite shot in my SHADOWS FILE...

I fell totally in love forever with this adorable wooden sidewalk in CREEDE, COLORADO..
An olden truck..
much used...
much loved by it's owner, I'm sure.

No shadows...
I just love the old green, chipping paint along the bottom of this silvery ladder..
NO shadows here, either...
just a really cool photo.
I love this old truck..it's rust.. it's missing gas tank cover..the old rag used to stuff it with.
Think there's anything wrong with my LOVING OLD RUST ???
My shadowy house...
"CHARACTER is like a tree and reputation like a shadow.
The shadow is what we think of it...the tree is the real thing."

I hope ya'll have a wonderful Sunday !!

Hi BJ!

The last photo was my favorite. The thing I like best about shadows is they make me look taller and thinner. :o)

Happy Saturday! La

Sometimes I like rust, too. I do not like rust on my beloved's well-loved truck. He does.

Your shadow is lovely, just like you...

I believe that sometimes we wee things in their silhouettes that we don't see when we're looking right at them - same with shadows.

Interesting. When I intently observe something it is usually something that is castng shadows. Love all of the pictures.

Love the Abe Lincoln quote. He is one of my favorite historical figures.

Love your shadows. My favorite shadows are when a young toddler sees/understands a shadow. Oh,those precious moments crossing their wee faces ... stymied. Some enjoy & others are terrified.

Have a great week ~

Love all of your shadow shots:-) One of my brothers, Claude, takes a picture of his shadow everywhere he goes to visit and has an album just for those pictures! lol It's something he started years ago and I thought was so awesome. Imagine showing the album to friends and say....here is my shadow in Hawaii...here is my shadow in Mexico...etc! hehe xoxo

Shadows are all about, and until this meme, I hadn't considered the artistic look they provide. So, you have nicely captured many excellent shadows in CO and TEX. The bridge leave a beauty of a shadow on the creek below - great! The old Chevy truck is much loved by its owner, no doubt starting when the key is turned - in any season. Plenty to love there!

Your homestead looks wonderful, brick facade and a bold shadow, too. Lets hope and pray for rain in the Lone Star, and soon...

Hi bj, your shots are interesting. You have inspired me to look through my photos for accidental shadow shots so I can join the party next time! I like the Lincoln quote, but I love the Russian proverb you have on the sidebar! Linda

My favorite is your shadow on the water from the bridge AND the ones where the shadows stretch across the road, especially the picket gate.

Hi BJ...

What great photos, my friend! I didn't realize that there was a "photo shadow" party. I'll have to dig through a few of my old photos!

Girlfriend, don't you just love that old wooden sidewalk in Creede? It sooo reminds me of the olden towns of the wild west! Love that! I think my favorite "shadow" photo was the first...your shadow in the river! Sooo pretty! You caught a beauty there! Thanks so much for sharing this sweet post with us for the Sunday Favorites repost party this week, dear friend! I loved it!

Warmest Sunday wishes,
Chari
