BUDGET CENTERPEICE..don't 'cha love 'em !!

I just delight in finding something really DIFFERENT...
for my dining table.
*
 Flowers are ALWAYS nice..
even FAUX ones, if they are pretty..
It's just that I get tired of the same things...
MR. SWEET says I am very fickle...
He says that I just LUVVVVV one thing one day
and be through with it the next...
EXCEPT FOR HIM !!!
Seasonal things are always great...
I do love this simple basket full of our Earth's bounty...
 *
...but it surely doesn't TAKE MY BREATH AWAY...
*
This is totally OFF the subject but a friend brought
this AMAZING cookbook over for me to drool over..
Can't wait to get started on it.
THANKS, TAMMY !!
*
 BORING...
just plain BORING !

 and, THEN...
thunderbolt right out of the sky and
I remembered this little cutest round pot CONTAINER
that I won last year from THE BRAMBLE BERRY COTTAGE.
*
Jars with CANDY CORN and CANDLES...
I saw this done last year on a blog...wonder whos...
*
don't you think this is a simple but very cute CENTERPIECE
that won't break the bank.
You don't have to have a container such as this..
Jars gathered on a pretty tray...
or just lined up down the center of your table....
*
I would LOVE to have an olden metal MILK BOTTLE holder...
Now, that REALLY WOULD be cute used like this..
*
Oh, I found these white CORN ON THE COB holders
on clearance at DOLLAR GENERAL..
They only had 2 left but....
there's only 2 of us at SWEET NOTHINGS..
I know..I know...I'm off the subject again.!
*
 Yes, ma'am....I do love this..
It's cute...
it's different..
and I just shopped MY COTTAGE..!
*

And the good thing...
IF the wax doesn't drip down into the candy....
We can EAT the CANDY CORN when we finish with the centerpiece.
I just LUV eating the CENTERPIECE...
**
I am linking with
My thanks to all the hosts of these fun memes....

Love to all..

Lovin' your new fall centerpiece BJ! I have those same corn holders, and I'm sure you'll love the Pioneer Woman, I visit her blog every day-have fun:@)

Well, Isn't that the most clever idea.... using candy corn. I am going to do that right now.. (if we haven't eaten it all:)
BUT LOVED & laughed over the fickle comment in your 1st paragraph..... Mr. Sweet sure is the lucky one, that you decided that he is a keeper :)

BJ, I don't think your black and white is boring--it's so cute, especially with the charger! And an edible centerpiece is a great idea--it could be dessert! Linda

Adorable. I love the table and would be honored to eat at one of those beautiful settings.

Um, do you realize that if we combined our decor, it would all look good together. Looks like we have the same taste in a lot of our home stuff :)

I still hear the song, "Sweet Nothings" whenever I come to your blog.....

Love your centerpiece. I love candy corn, so I would prbably eat it all and the candles would be all wobbly without it,,,

Miss BJ, you are always so inspiring. I went to Wal-Mart today and bought two yards of plaid material that was on clearance for two dollars because I couldn't afford a fancy autumnal themed tablecloth. It's really sweet so I'm going to take some of your ideas and run with it!

Love ya,
Deanna :D

Oh, I LOVE your centerpiece! I guess I have been out in left field because I've never seen or thought of putting candy corn around candles for the fall. It's just perfect.

I have (well, Mom has) an old milk bottle holder. I agree that the look would be fantastic in it.

I just love all your ideas! We could all probably just shop our own cabinets & closets and come up with all sorts of things to do nice centerpieces with. After all the holidays I plan to do just that. Thanks for the inspiration!

BJ, what a joy to have you link this up with Simple Pleasures. Your centerpiece is so cute, and would be simple to make, which makes it a perfect post for Simple Pleasures. I love the idea of putting candles in candy corn.

I do hope you'll join us often.

I love the bounty centerpiece. The candle in the jam jar is a great idea and almost anything can go as the filler in the bottom. For any season. I've also used pop corn kernels ... didn't trust myself with the candy! Who thinks black and white is boring? I love it!

I'm all about being able to shop from my own house. I love your ideas -- especially the fact that they are inexpensive. Oh, and I've heard great things about the Pioneer Woman. Have you read her blog? I'd love it if you would come back and try my "Follow" button again. Sometimes Blogger gets moody! :)

You life and blog and picturea are anything but boring. You should start a centerpiece business; you'd make a fortune...and keep Mr Sweet; he is probably your inspiration for this.

Of course you know I love this table with the black and white checks! I just ordered a round table cloth, on sale at Pottery Barn. It is burlap with a black and white check border. It's for the hearth room table..can't wait to get it!

The reason you have to click sometimes and not others for comments is, when you click my regular site on your sidebar etc, it will go to the main page. That is where you have to click comments. When I list the blog on events, it is the permalink and it goes to the post only and the comment page is opened up as well.

I need your help too...Do you know Adrienne of With a Grateful Heart? She has left several comments lately and when I go to check her blog, I only get the page banner and no way to enter. If you visit her and can get in, can you let her know about my dilemma please? I don't know why I can get no further than her banner. I've followed her for a long time and she has followed me.

Get those antlers out, BJ...Christmas is coming and I think you can work them into your decor. Wish I had a few more. I am about to steal J's from the basement!LOL

Your centerpiece is the "sweetest," BJ! I'm so glad you're still finding use for the bounty you won from my giveaway.

But the big question I have is how useful has that cookbook been that you won? I figured that would be the favorite item out of the whole
lot, as far as Mr. Sweet was concerned. ;)

By the way, you can link this post to my Time Travel party.

BJ, I have a wooden crate sitting on my front porch right now...never thought to use it the way PB did. Thanks for showing us.

I am inspired by your candles in the jars in the little carrier. I remember my grandmother had a similar carrier for glasses YEARS ago! Cook idea for part of your centerpiece.

Totally great job on the entire table. Love your angled photos, too!

Now if your would use those battery powered candles, you could for certain eat the candy corn in the jars. Precious tablescape! Love the graphic element of the black and white check. You'll love the Pioneer Woman Cooks. Check out her blog; it's pretty amazing! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
