A GRANDGIRL BREAKFAST...

YOUNGEST granddaughter, DEEDS, spent the night with me not long ago
and we, as usual, had
the best time...
Now she LOVES cinnamon rolls..
bacon...
cheesy scrambled eggs...
fresh fruit...
STRAWBERRY milk...
and SUNNY D...
sooooooo
don'chaknow that we had it ALL...
that's what grandmothers do !!
*

OH, I know I might be partial....

but, isn't she the CUTEST little thing !!
She looks so much like her mom at that age...*suck in breath and heavy sigh...

...stretchhhh.....

She loves the cheery CHERRY dishes so of course, they were just perfect for our breakfast time together...

She said, "Oh, Memaw...a fresh strawberry in my milk..." and smiled the BIGGEST smile...
*

and she was with me the day I stopped at a garage sale and bought vintage glasses for juice...

Do you know the PURE pleasure and heart-filling love of having breakfast with a tiny, little GRANDGIRL ?

So fulfilling that you ALMOST don't have to eat ANYthing!!

and every time they smile at you, your heart just fills totally UP with love !!

And, may I just say that I am blessed beyond measure with SEVEN grandgirls and THREE grandboys...WHEW....so awesome !!

"I love you to the moon and back, dear Deeds."

Nuuuuu, a truly GREAT grandmother would have thrown in a slice of apple pie, sweetpea!! That's what I plan on doing when Caroline gets teeth and can eat something besides milk... : -)

Grandchildren are the best. This morning my first day on a new job at my granddaughter's school. I got to see her on her way to her classroom and give her a big hug. Made my heart smile.

Bless your heart for commenting. No grandbabies yet for moi. Soon I hope, two married.

What a perfect way to start a morning, setting a pretty and festive table for a granddaughter.

Oh, I dream of the day!

Funny that I remembered while reading this that the only place that I had strawberry milk as a little girl was at my grandmother's house.

I sure enjoyed this post!

Oh how fun, bj! What a precious time you had with your granddaughter who is such a cutie and I am not her grandma so I am not biased. I miss mine. I blogged about my grandson today because he turned 3. Then, my 11 year old granddaughter called to ask if I can blog about her too, lol. As if I never had....Christine

Oh my goodness...this was the bestest blog I've read in a long time. Such cute cute photos, and the 'vintage glasses' are so nautical [they'd fit really well in MY diningroom!] Sweet, sweet little G-daughter!!

Loved this post.
I do hope you can find time sometime to play the Thursday Themesong Meme. It's really fun, and quite easy to do.

Thanks for the visit BJ.

Good morning bj, your darling Deeds is the cutest little thing. Did she eat all that food? Big smile. It looks delicious. Spoiling our grands is the best reward for having grands. I can imagine their memories of you would be this... My Grandma was the best cook and the most fun ever. HA! I hope mine think the same about me!!! We are blessed bj.

Have a wonderful day my dear sister friend,

I love this extra special post, BJ!!

My oldest grand girl wants to go to the lake with us as soon as she can get a day off. I have truly missed our special times together since she has grown up and has a job and a fella. She sent a note on my facebook the other day, asking when we plan another lake trip. We are trying to work out a time. Can't wait to share breakfast with her, again!

She is a cutie pie. I don't have a grandgirl. I have 2 little grandboys...and at 3 1/2 and almost 2, they want poptarts. They don't want to drink tea or eat from pretty plates...they just want to shove it in and get back to playing *sigh*! Hopefully, my daughter will provide a grandgirl in a few years. I love my little guys though, and I do melt when they smile at me!

I just simply love this. I miss living near my parents and that my kids do not get to do this all the time (my son did up until he was 4). Grandparents are awesome!
