I LOVE ROBIN'S EGG BLUE...

ONCE again, I am playing in two great memes...
*
RHODA is our gracious host...
*
SMILING SALLY is hosting another BLUE MONDAY
*********
MY Monday thrifty treasure is a
BLUE tole tray...
*
You've seen me serving several meals on this tray but
I haven't shown it in
ALL IT'S GLORY....
sooooo.....

The hand painted roses just take my breath away...
What a beautiful talent someone, somewhere, possesses ......*sigh
*

This beautiful, olden tray is in excellent condition...
and I really like the shape of it.
*
The lovely color looks great with everything....
oh, yes...I am VERY proud of this thrifted, blue treasure !
*
OOO, and I wanted to show you these really weird little plants...herbs, actually...
Parsley, thyme and sage...
Now, I ask you....
How is this amount of little plants ever going to make enuf to use in cooking ?? :)
but....aren't they cute !!

I love that tray. One of these days I am going to try my hand at painting (I am just so busy right now). My goal is roses. I figure if I can conquer roses I probably could paint just about anything else!
Take care, Susan

I remember a big ol' black painted tray my granny kept hanging in her kitchen -- I sure wish I had it now, but I have no idea where it ended up. Makes me smile to remember it though!

Your tray is absolutely beautiful! I only ever see black ones, and certainly not in as excellent a condition as this one is. Did you plant from seeds, or what? Cause I have never seen herb plants that tiny! LOL Try some fertilizer, FAST!

Hello BJ, home from camping and now rand kids week. Chaos and craziness is the order of the day. We are having great fun and before you know it, we will be all alone and the quiet will be awful. also wonderful!!! BIG smile here.

I do love your gorgeous hand painted tray. The artwork is wonderful. Your mom could have done that with her talent. My sister has done tole painting like that too. I do not have a drop of art talent. The trays are not easy to find anymore and if you do find one who could afford it???

It is so good to be commenting and posting again. I have missed reading your posts and reading your comments too.

Love...Jeanne

That tray really is gorgeous. Reminds me of one my grandmother had many years ago. It was black, with those same kind of roses painted on it.
Love your little herbs too. I've got cilantro and scallions growing, but the scallions aren't doing too well.

Justine :o )
