Aren't you just like me in the fact that, every now and then, it is FUN to be pampered...?
First, we have a STARBUCKS about 8 blocks from my house...a straight shot....not even any red lights !!
After having a nice hot bath, I went in to have a haircut.
I didn't do toenails nor fingernails this time...I don't splurge very much on those kind of things and am not sure why...they aren't all THAT expensive and nothing makes me feel better than getting a pedicure...
SOOO, NEXT time, I will do that very thing....

I do love pasta of any kind and especially noodles with salt, pepper a bit of butter and PARMESAN CHEESE..and, by golly, I just served myself on my favorite dinnerware,
I even made myself a miniature 'centerpiece' ........YUMM....I DID ENJOY MY LUNCH, sitting in front of the fire and the tv, watching
After lunch...a trip to DILLARD'S, which is NOT my favorite store, by a long shot,
but needed...OK....WANTED this......
It was on sale....and I love this kind of suit...
plus the makeup I use, CLINQUE, is sold there and NO OTHER PLACE IN TOWN....
go figure !
When I got my silly self home from shopping, I needed a "fix"
so I fixed a COKE FLOAT...
(quit laughing, NikkiCrumpet...she always teased me about using the word FIXED )
UMMM, BABY...
AND finally, I called my cousin in HOUSTON that is a couple of years younger than me..that's her, on the left..
We were raised together and were more like sisters when we were young.
I don't get to see her very often any more but she will always be like my sister.
We had a great visit and I pledged to call her more often....
"I sure enjoyed talking with you, Skeet...I love you and will talk soon!"

GM BJ, I so admire for treating yourself to a special day, I never do that, but I should. I do get my nails done and a pedicure, I guess that's for me. LOL
Have you tried the new Pepperidge Farm Cranberry and Orange bread, makes the best toast. And girlfriend, I'm with you with the garlic bread and pasta.
I'm still up to my eyeballs with painting. I hurt where I didn't even know I had body parts. :)As we finish each wall, I'm cleaning everything, so when I do finish, my house is going to be spotless.Yippee, it's not like that ofetn.

I love your day! It sounded wonderful and I'm going to have to do a little lunch like you did. I love pasta with salt, pepper, butter, and a little Parmesan. Yum! Plus, a Coke float is almost as good as a Root Beer float.
I felt like I was right with you on your "ME" day. I need to do one of those. I would so enjoy doing one of those kinds of days with my daughter and make it a "Nommy and me" kind of day. Yes she calls me "Nommy".
I love this idea of a Be Nice To Me day! I am definitely going to incorporate this into my life!
