JANUARY 20, 2009
is a day that will go down in history as Barack Obama becomes the
44th president of the United States, as we all know.
***Altho I did not vote for Mr. Obama, I will honor him as the President of the United States of America.
I am sure, being a REPUBLICAN, I may not agree with some of his DEMOCRATIC ways, but I WILL honor him.
I pray to our Heavenly Father every day for the safety of Mr.Obama and his family and for guidance in office.
This job he wanted so badly is going to be a tough one and he needs a lot of help and a lot of prayers.
Please pray for him, his family and for our UNITED STATES OF AMERICA !!

Me too!
Even though you say "no comments," I WILL! I pray for George Bush, and I will pray for President Obama too. I think JUST like you!
Morning, Dear BJness! You're so right. We have a responsibility to stand behind this man and pray for him.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Well said :>)
BJ, I put my blog up for this historic day, I said the same thing! God Bless our President and God Bless the USA!!! xoxoxo Sue
I must confess I have been sitting in front of my television since arising this morning ... many of those minutes in tears. Tears of joy, tears of sadness, just so emotional. You are so right about it, everyone no matter their politics, pulling together. We simply must.
I am praying for a change and I know it's not going to be an easy road for our new President. I will support and pray for him.
Love Ya,
Chris
Amen BJ! I will pray for him too.
BJ, I am praying for the new president, his family, and all of our leaders. It's important to undergird them with prayer. It's such a tough job, and they need our prayer support. God commands us to do as much.
I watched the inauguration yesterday, and the thing that impressed me the most is that opponents in this great country of ours can end up standing side by side in harmony. Freedom and this country are so much bigger and better than party politics. I love that. :-) Kind of reminds me what will happen when we all stand side by side in Heaven with differences put aside. :-)
You could tell that President and Mrs. Bush did everything in their power to be gracious, and vice versa. I saw that the moving truck for the Obamas had arrived, and the newscasters said the Bush's already had all of their things out. I know they did everything to make a smooth transition. And it seemed that President Bush almost treated President Obama as a co-president these last weeks. It was so heart-warming to see them embrace, and it looked genuine. That is an enormous job, and I feel for anyone who steps foot into that office.
XO,
Sheila
Hi B.J., O.K. I waited a day!!! I too wish President Obama the best. He has a very hard job ahead of him. You are right, we do need to pray for him, and I also hope that HE prays every day for guidance from above!
