An Awesome Barn Dance and Dinner for a 50th celebration

Hi, Everyone...

Our daughter, STACY and her honey, JENT
and Jent's  sis, DEBBIE and her honey, MICHAEL,
gave Jent and Debbie's parents the most awesome barn dance and dinner
for their 50th Anniversary.

These people really know how to throw a GREAT PARTY....

Everything was placed on this ANTIQUE flat wagon...
and it all looked sooo cool.

...filled up an olden metal
trough with ice,
beer, sodas....water. ....

then put it on hay bales.

waaay too cute.

White paper lanterns were hanging from the rustic ceiling...
Black and white poster size photos of their families...

JENT, tending the meats...

the BEST barbeque brisket I've ever eaten...
chicken
sausage
potato salad
coleslaw
BEST red beans (Stacy made beans for over 200 folks)
onions/pickles/peppers
hot bread

"did I leave out anything...?"

Wedding cake and cupcakes for dessert...

beer, sodas, tea, coffee, lemonade...you name it...

JENT has a beautiful new HUGE barn that was the setting for this fun party.

Stacy and Jent's boys,
BROOKS and DREW,
with their grandmother,
Beverly....

the boys and all the other grands call her BEBE.

...here's DAVID and KATHY,
shooting the breeze with BROOKS.

Stacy covered all the many tables with white fabric (sheets..?) and ran
a wide strip of burlap down the middle.

Our pretty STACY with her daddy...

The band hired for the dance was really great...
right off the bat, he sang a JOHNNY CASH song so he had my attention, and kept it.

hahhaa....even the little bitty ones got in on the dancing...

EVERYone had a blast...

Brynna, Deeds and Brooks, having a good time at the party.

...beautiful flowers on all the many tables

and the next day, Stac brought a couple of bouquets over for us to have
while showing our house for sale.

SHE SOOOO SWEET !!

Happy 50th  Wedding Anniversary to Beverly and Jerry ....
hope you have many many more years together.

Love, bj

  3. Sounds wonderful, bj, and looked so cute. Yep, a Johnny Cash song would have grabbed my attention too. Any lookers on the house. Maybe an ad in the paper saying your friends are ready to see you fixin' up your new home would light a fire under 'em. No? Just a thought.

Such a precious time and celebration. I'll take all the leftover ice in that water tank...altho we got rain yesterday, it's still so darned hot!! A good ol' Texas cool down in that ice sounds terrific.

Glad you shared this special occasion with us BJ.
