I seem to be using this photo of a
AUDREY HEPBURN quote in several posts lately.
I love it so much that I want to get a poster....A PRETTY POSTER...
and have it framed for my bedroom.
SOMEtimes, when we have a few strawberries that are "soft" and might not make it another couple days,
I gather the good stuff
and make us a little milkshake.
a tiny scoop of
sweetener...
a cap full of VANILLA.....
scoops of ice cream...
...for these, I had only a couple of small scoops of ice cream...
I've had the RED WHITE and BLUE on my mind a lot this week.
...maybe because the 4th is right around the corner and all my magazines are showing
THE COLORS....
I "raise my cup" to you today and hope that you have a wonderful day.

You always show the most yummy things....it is so hot here, nothing sounds good right now....but that looks so refreshing!
ReplyDeleteThat is a perfect quote good for all of us. I would like two scopes of ice cream please as it is as hot as you know what here.
ReplyDeleteI happen to love that Hepburn quote and want it framed around here. I keep saying that, but I never do it.
ReplyDeleteI have been drinking a lot of strawberries and cream (almond milk, here) smoothies lately. So cool, and so good!
I love the beautiful quote and pretty poster that you chose! What a treasure for your new home! I voted on your sidebar! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh yum! That looks like a perfect summer beverage!
ReplyDeleteYour drink looks so tasty. I forget about making smoothie drinks, but I do like an occasional glass of ice cream, peaches and chopped pecans.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
Same to you, BJ! Happy Pink Saturday and Happy 4th of July.........Sarah
ReplyDeleteHave always loved Audrey's quote, and I'm crazy about strawberries too. We do the same when they start to go.
ReplyDeleteYum.
Happy pinks and happy 4th!
I hope you had a wonderful day, too, bj. I am so far behind this summer that I can't believe it is almost the 4th of July. Summer is going way too fast. Oh-My- Does your strawberry cup of goodness look yummy- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThese look so delicious and refreshing! And very patriotic!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting up the poll on the Paula Deen happenings...totally unfair and I'm so glad so many of your readers agree. She is being burned at the stake.
XO,
Jane
Shh, don't tell anyone, but I just had some ice cream with strawberries! It was a wonderful, nearly-midnight snack. :)
ReplyDeleteThe smoothie looks very tasty, too!
Btw, I voted the last time I was here on your sidebar. I think they are treating Paula very unfairly. There is such a double standard these days. Where's the outrage over the things Bill M.aher says on his show?
I've always loved Audrey's quotes. She was a classy lady.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Looks very refreshing, BJ!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you!
Looks like a great treat BJ! Happy Weekend:@)
ReplyDeleteI could sure go for this...big time! It's been so hot, and today it's predicted to be in the triple digits ---so bring on the cold refreshments. I'm there at your doorstep!!!!
ReplyDeletelooks and sounds yummy. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteThose strawberry milkshakes look so refreshing. Since the strawberries came ripe last week, there's been nothing but steady rain and so they are rotting in the fields. Such a waste! Poor farmers who invest so much into them and get nothing in return. Sigh. I need a happy pill...maybe a strawberry milkshake.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute way, to do a Red, White and Blue theme! :-)))))
ReplyDeleteAnd love that new pic of you, on your sidebar. In black pants and top. Love it.
SO pretty and I am SURE VERY yummy:) Have a blessed weekend dear BJ, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteBeeej! I love Audrey, so classy. I have been so dang busy, it is hard for me to get to all the blogs, but I miss you and glad I came today!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who Aubrey H is, but I believe in PINK! With three little girls, I have to. If it's pink it's pretty - right?
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, my friend. Those look yummy and refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy the Fourth with your family.
Love the quote by Audrey. Your strawberry milk shakes look very yummy. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and delicious looking post, bj!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool, sweet little treat for a very hot day! could have used one of those at the party..but settled for some delicious lemonade. Wish it'd been strawberry lemonade! :)
ReplyDeleteWHERE the heck are those buyers! Maybe today. I'll think positive about it!
Looks delicious! I made homemade ice cream on July 4th and served fresh strawberries with it. I also have blueberries and black raspberries ripe in the garden right now.
