Happiest Birthday and a 53rd Wedding Anniversary 4/10/13




Hello, everyone,




Today, 4/10/13, is also our 53rd wedding anniversary.

YAY.....

WOW...53 years is a loooong time. :)
 Terrible photo of us at our wedding reception, at my mother and dad's house
in Plainview, Texas.
That's me, grinning like a possum !
 Our sweet and generous children and grandchildren
gave us the most amazing ALASKAN CRUISE for our 50th anniversary...
and, boy, did we have a blast...
the trip of a lifetime for which we will always have the best memories.

 Here we are, last year, on our 52nd....

Our daughter is making a family dinner for us tonight.
Most of our family will be there  and I'll be sure to post a photo or two....

It is 27 degrees here this SPRING morning...brrrrr

    Twenty-seven! In Texas? Good heavens, it has been a crazy spring.

    I just love the fact that you got married on his birthday! I'll betcha every year he tells you that you were the best birthday present he ever had.

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! And I have no idea what the temperature is here today, but yesterday it was 80 degrees and today we're getting freezing rain or some sort of slushy precipitation. I like 80 degrees better. No worries though, if you don't like the weather in this part of the country give it a day and it will change.

    Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to Mr. Sweet! It seems like just yesterday that we "took your cruise with you" for
    your 50th! We bloggers become like family after all these years don't we?

    I can't believe it is that cold in Texas! We are in the high 70's but have a big storm on the way today and we are going back to cold tomorrow. In fact, as I type...a tornado warning just came on. Ick!
