FLOWER POWER...they look good, even in PLASTIC

Hi, Everyone...
Well, Mr. Sweet and I are both down with winter colds that have settled their mean selves in OUR CHESTS. Needless to say, painting and packing and moving has come to a stand-still until we are feeling better.
BUMMER....!!....there goes our plans to get this baby on the market by March 4th....

Maybe this FLOWER post will make me feel some better...it's a re-run, so if you've seen it before, just skim over it...and leave me a kind comment and a prayer for us to heal quickly.....we have SOOO much work to finish.

Actually, after 3 days of feeling like 16 semi trucks ran over us and then backed up,
we have a doctor appt. today.

When I buy a bunch of supermarket flowers,
I stretch them just as far as they will go.

Once the BIG bouquet is  loosing it's
WOW POWER,

I start taking photos right and left in all sorts of settings.

Here's a few left overs, just sitting in water in a SOLO CUP.....

....see, they even look pretty in PLASTIC.
I plopped a few in my little tiny vintage pitchers....and did a PHOTO SHOOT
Why...I do believe they're POSING.
... a little MARCHING BAND of COLOR

And.....since I made
CANNED BISCUIT DONUTS
this morning,
THEY had their picture made with FLOWERS....

FLOWER POWER......

                                      IT'S AMAZING......
After the little bunch of flowers 'did their thing'

some of the other SOLO cups were jealous,
so they had THEIR picture made, too, with their favorite cookies....
MIXED BERRY OREOS.....
and a Raspberry Float.

Heavens, this post is just full of
FLOWERS
SWEETS
SOLO CUPS and
SILLINESS.
♥ ♥ ♥
 AIN'T LIFE GRAND !
I hope ya'll all have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Absolutely wishing Mr. and Mrs. Sweet a speedy recovery! I'm sure that it is disappointing to have to slow down now, but it will all come together at just the right time. You're giving me more ideas with this economical way of using flowers.

  20. I do the same thing with supermarket flowers. I keep them and move them and rearrange until the last petal is gone. I love the things you've done with yours.

And those oreos? What? Never heard of them.

Hope you and your Mr. Sweet get over the colds and back to the mission at hand.

  24. I hope today finds you feeling better. I know all about those things that settle in your chest and my guess it will be another day before the meds really kick in. I wish I were closer...I'd make you chicken soup and pack a box or two for you. Believe me, you wouldn't want me to help with painting!

I decided winter was too depressing for me, so as the snow is falling out my window-I just brightened the header on my blog. At least when I see my page I can perk up a bit. Saying prayers for a quick recovery! I think I'll bring a few flowers home from the grocery store tonight...I need some bright inside too!

  25. I hope you guys feel better soon! You've got a lot of work to do and feeling sick isn't going to help at all. I love your flowers! I'm like you - I buy a bouquet at the grocery store and put each individual bloom in its own vase. That way I can have flowers all over the house :)

  27. BJ,
I keep hoping and praying that you and "Mr. Sweet" will be feeling good as new soon, dear friend!!!
Perhaps there's a reason your home isn't going to be ready by March 4...I hope that someone drives up to your door and makes you an offer before you list your home!!!
Stay focused on all the great joy that lies ahead, dear friend!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  28. Oh no, bj! Sorry to hear you're both sick. The doctor is always a good idea just in case your cold has turned to infection. You both have worked so hard and I know how much you want to finish up but do take care. I've not seen this post. I love the little white pitchers and how you framed them for your mosaic. Hope you both are feeling much better soon.
