WHITE

With our weather as warm as it is, I think THIS is all the WHITE we will have for
CHRISTMAS this year.
Hi, Everybody...
busy...busy...busy
I have had MR. WHITE SANTA for about 12 years
(some say 7 years is VINTAGE) and I love him more every single
CHRISTMAS....
...and.....I call him my Vintage Santa.
I've been asked so many times where I bought him.....
I have tried and tried to remember but I just can't.
He is SNOWEY WHITE and SPARKLY .....
and he can handle ANY color scheme I decide to use.
See how great his Christmas Tree looks with it's black and white bow...? I love it.

One reason he still looks so beautiful is that I've never, ever PACKED  him...
he stays up on a top shelf of a closet, covered with a light plastic wrap...
NOT enclosed in it, tho...I am afraid the heat from it in the summer would
turn his beautiful SNOW WHITE beard into one with a tinge of yellow and we don't want YELLOW. !!
Don't you think he almost looks real ...?

I think his face is one of the most real and handsome of any SANTA faces
I've ever seen.
Sometimes, when I stare at this photo of his beautiful eyes, I think he
just might come alive like PINOCCHIO did...
and...
sometimes I wonder about MY SANITY.!!!  ;>)

He carries his lantern to light his way and his JINGLE BELLS
keep him from
slipping up on ya....:))

His white fur coat and boots and his beautiful hat.....
I just love them all.

One year, I put a silver star on the little tree he carries...
and one year, I put tiny lights on it.

He lends himself, being a snowy, sparkly white, to lots of different decorations but I tend to love this bow he sports today.....
or just plain.

Now, THIS Santa, like MR. SWEET, seems to like
HOT BISCUITS
more than a plate full of COOKIES. :)
Silly, silly men......
Isn't this a most WONDERFUL time of the year?

Hi Bj, Oh I just love your white Santa and vintage he is, even at 7!!! I collect Santas and your's does have one of the most handsome faces ever.
I have many things that go on the top shelf in the closet after Christmas too. It's just too hot here. We are having 80 degree days and a bit cooler today and that was really nice. I wish it would just get cold and feel more like Christmas. I would even like to see some snow, but we know that's not going to happen.
Yes, I love this time of year too.
Thank you for sharing your pretty Santa. Enjoy a nice evening.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

He's a beauty BJ. My mom has a beautiful blue Santa that is probably 20 years old. She takes very good care of him too and he still looks great. Packing them up and putting them in the attic is bad news.

Yes, it is.
A Time of wonderment and warmth!
He's precious. Something in the Old guy with snowy beard that makes us believe in him, doesn't it?
Once we were going through the streets with our 3-year-old daughter and she spotted a homeless with a white beard and she shouted "Look, Mother, he's Santa!" (bless 3 yo generous hearts that live in grown up BJs).
Enjoy!

You make our day with your delightful post. You are right, there will be nothing white in Texas this year, except Santa's beard.

hi bj ... you know, I collect Santas and I sure could use that one in my collection. Best one I have every seen. He is a beauty and that face is so real. Feed him good.
Late breakfast was hot oatmeal and hot biscuits that were cooked in an old cast iron tart pan and they were soooo good.
Have a happy day.

What a magnificent Santa! His beard is amazing! Such a great way to decorate for the season.

It's so funny how you said if you look at his eyes it's like he may come alive - when I was younger I had a very life-like doll that I swear blinked at me one time! It was probably my imagination being so young, but it felt real!

PS - Thanks so much for the sweet comment about Buttercup. I really appreciate it.

Hi bj, I agree that your white Santa is 'stunning' He IS real looking with those yummy eyes looking right at ya!
Our stuff always goes in the attic here but our temps are not as hot.

I also saw your mantel looking so sweet. Our mantel is the thing I love to decorate the most. I do not change it though. I missed the blog party. since we are leaving for our river cruise in Europe in one week, there is very little decorating going on here. Just a bit to share.

I won't be able to blog when we are gone because the wireless is reserved for emergency use on the boat. You have to go to a special location and cannot be on for long at all. People wait in line to use it. sigh!

I'm glad you posted more about your move. Don't over do bj, When we moved here I thought I would die from the stress of it all. I was 68 at the time. It is hard work. Get those grands to help.

Love you much,
Jeanne xoxoxo
