TWINKIES or MUFFINS..?.....that is the question.

Hello, all...

We had muffins for breakfast  AGAIN...

but this time, I added DRIED CRANBERRIES to a BLUEBERRY muffin mix...

those I told you about before...that are so cheap at the grocery store...remember?

The cranberries gave the muffins a little more TART...and we loved them.
Actually, you may know that I love cranberries.....PERIOD.

 HERE'S A TIP FOR YA......

on this batch, instead of using the adorable cup cake liners, I just sprayed the muffin tin with Pam and when
the muffins were done and cooled a bit,
I slipped them into their COLORFUL liners.

Maybe some of you are already doing that.
I kept noticing that the liners lost so much color and crispness
when they had to hang out with the muffins in that 350 degree oven.
Then, it dawned on me.......DUH..

...just use the liners like little MUFFIN BOWLS.
Especially if you are going to be SERVING TO OTHER PEOPLE...
...so much more attractive. :))

They looked MUCH cuter on the serving plate.
See how bright and pretty the liners are since they didn't have to
be in the oven for 20 minutes...?
Just look at that WINTER SUN shining on these little Treasures of Goodness....

 NOW.....I ASK YOU....

WHO NEEDS
 HOSTESS TWINKIES...???

I love dried cranberries just for a snack. That is a great idea adding them to a muffin mix.

I will be doing a Christmas Eve breakfast, with company for the first time ever. For the little ones from this family to be able to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa they will have to come in the morning. Here I am wondering what the heck to serve and of coarse muffins, with cranberries. Great tip about the wrappers!!

Oh darn...now I want a muffin. Tell me, BJ, how do you store muffins? I usually keep them on the counter for a day or two and then I refrigerate the rest. They don't last long around here so I hardly ever freeze them unless I double a batch.

I will have the muffins with cranberries if you please. Love them. I can eat a whole can of cranberry sauce.

I have had them in oatmeal cookies and they were awesome! Great idea, I am going to try it!

I never thought about using the liners AFTER baking! I always grease my muffin pans at home....here in the camper I'm using those flimsy foil pans and must bake with a line. But I bet I set said baked muffin in a FRESH little paper cup AFTER baking now. AT least those that are not snatched and devoured straight from the oven!

So I decided to stop by to THANK YOU!!!!.. for being you.
Happy Holidays, Sweet Soul!

I've never been a Twinkie fan but I'll take a muffin any day! Enjoy:@)

I don't do that, but I will start now! I lament the way the cute liners look after baking too.

I don't think I ever ate a Twinkie, but I would love one of your muffins.

Thanks for the tip.

I am not a fan of Twinkies, but I love muffins, and love cranberries. I never thought of using the liners after baking, for serving. That is a great idea! Hugs, sweet friend.

I don't know about the Twinkies, but I am fairly certain that I DO need the Devil Dogs. Sigh.

I like your method of using the liners for serving and not baking. I sometimes have added a new clean liner and that just takes twice as many so, yes, your method is much better.

Love your idea bj ... and so pretty too. I baked the apple muffins in my cast iron tart pan and they were delicious ... not real big and puffy but good.
Have a happy day.

What a good tip to save those liners for serving. I've always hated the way I lose so much of the muffin when I peel it away. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Blue Monday, BJ.

Your little memory tree is just wonderful. Yes, I remember the 'throwing of icicles' on the tree. Those are long gone by now. Icicles always made the tree look great, no matter what else was on it.
Christmas Blessings.
