The GOOD, The BAD and The UGLY

THE GOOD....

I have posted about these little PUDDING CAKES from our grocery store before.
I keep one or two in my freezer all the time.
THIS particular one is the first LEMON LIME CAKE I've bought and.....
WE LOVE IT.
well....I love it.  Mr. Sweet is not all that fond of LEMON anything....

The great thing about these little cakes is that they aren't real sweet so you can add whatever you want....especially if you choose a
PLAIN  CAKE
Strawberries and whipped creme
Chocolate Syrup....the list goes on and on.....

THE BAD

Painting going on here at Sweet Nothings...
For someone that HATES to paint,
seems I go around with a PAINT BRUSH in my hands an awfully LOT.
I just HATE the mess of big projects like THIS !
THE UGLY

As if PAINTING isn't enuf to get things all messed up around here...
I am also in the midst of cleaning out closets and storage areas.....

As we speak, I am waiting on
THE SALVATION ARMY truck to pull up in front of my house  and take away all this STUFF that came from THEM
in the first place. :))

Think I'll just slice that
Lemon Lime Cake, pour myself another cup of coffee and
                CHILL  OUT  !!

THE SHELF is all finished EXCEPT  for the
GOLDEN BALLS FOR THE TOP  that were SUPPOSED to be here on WEDNESDAY and THIS is THURSDAY and....
                                 NO GOLDEN BALLS...
OOO, YES.......

I AM A WEE BIT STRESSED.
Hope YOU week is going good !

The shelf is going to be gorgeous! Hang in there. Can't believe you're getting rid of that window, though ;-)

It's always something, isn't it? My mouth is watering looking at that cake..I want some. Yummy good. What brand is it? Or only something local? I need them in my freezer too.
Have a fun filled day....

I don't like things out of order either. Our new neighbors are remodeling and it's causing quite a stir. Hubby says "you have to scramble some eggs to make an omelet". Which would go nicely with pudding cake! xo

That's how I deal with things too, lol! Sweets just seem to make it all better!

That lemon cake looks so good! I wish I was there to shop your pile of goodies! Just don't stress and this too shall pass! Hugs, Linda

But you are keeping the suspense high, BJ! Look at it that way.

Tip for painting, which I hate with a passion myself. If you place your paint tray inside a garbage bag, when you are all finished and the paint is used up or poured back into the can, you just pull off the garbage bag with the wet paint bit on the inside and the tray stays as good as gold...oops...sorry I mentioned that word...it stays good and no clean-up! Love it!

Obviously, you've remained vertical! Yay!

Oh poor dear! Lol, it always has to get bad and ugly before it gets beautiful. Sad but true. Just think how fresh that painted wall will look and, golly, kind of funny that you're giving S.A. theor stuff back...seems like they ought to pay you to take it! Now that would be fair wouldn't it?

Chin up, BJness, well, paint brush up! :) This time of year gets us in the mood to make things better, doesn't it? I'm trying to scale back some too. I have too much junk!
That cake looks wonderful. I've never seen that flavor but if I were there I'd just eat the part Mr. Sweets doesn't want.
be a sweetie,
shelia ;)

Oh- I hate those messes, too, but it is so worth it in the end! I have a bunch of stuff to get delivered to a thrift store, too. It is a mess but I will be glad when it is all done. Blessings to you today- xo Diana

Have a super Easter. I love seeing all your projects. I can't wait for your shelf. I know it will be fabulous... You made me hungry for a lemon-lime puddin' cake, honey!

Oh my, you do have a mess, but I have had plenty of them here. So nice of you to return your stuff to the Salvation Army. Hmmmm, I didn't know they picked up.

Bless your heart BJ. Eat Cake and take several deep breathes. When it is all finished it will be perfectly splendid. It may make you feel better to know Joe and I have been removing wallpaper now for 18 months. We are awful folk at DIY. We sleep in the office and the master bedroom, in my mind, may get painted by 2014.

The pudding cake looks so yummy! I love lemon ANYTHING!!

I know how you feel about the messes we create when we are trying to fix things up. I have been wanting to paint the living room and I just can't figure out where I will put things while we do it. Sigh...Hang on to that window!

Jane

Fluffing one's nest is NOT WITHOUT it's Price! Every time I CLEAN or PAINT I wonder WHY DOES it MAKE SUCH A MESS!!! "UGH"! My Guest room is SUFFERING from "CLEANING DILEMMA" at the moment! My Story "IS", if someone is to POP IN and say, "WHY is your house such a mess", the answer OF COURSE IS "I'm CLEANING"!!!
Your Lemon cake looks DELICIOUS! I LOVE LEMON!!!
Happy Easter with BIG Bunny Hugs to you,
Donna

Sweet Thing...it is just that way this time of year. Have that slice of cake and enjoy it knowing you are working every calorie off. I had some apple fritters jump in my grocery basket the other day. Hubby is finishing them off one day at a time. I was embarassed after the first day.

We came home to tornado hell on Tuesday and we were so fortunate to not be dead firstly and to not even have any wind damage lastly.

My house look much the same. For some reason yesterday I cleaned out closets and more. Then we put together a new table for the patio and if that didn't have my back hurting enough...well, it did and I took something for it and rested.

It will all sort itself out..it won't do it itself, but it will get better and you will be happier with new paint.

Happy Easter my friend...to you and hubby too!!

It's looking good so far! And how true about the stuff we all buy at the thrift stores...some of it ends up back there (maybe in a different color, or upcycled!) And I'll be over for a slice of that cake - yum

Hi BJ, I need to paint too, but I've been procrastinating. :-)
Maybe tomorrow, then again, maybe not...
