Double dipping is RUDE.....

UNLESS....
You are wanting a really KILLER
CHICKEN FRIED STEAK.
 THEN,
DOUBLE DIPPING is perfect.
CHICKEN FRIED STEAK has been a favorite of mine just about all my life.
We seldom eat FRIED any more but,
you know how it is.....
....ever now and then, ya just GOTTA have it...

I try hard........really hard, to like the more
sophisticated sauces........
A-1 STEAK SAUCE or
any nice STEAK SAUCE...
but, alas,.....
I suppose you can call me.....
                                 a COMMONER....

                   I.  LIKE.  KETCHUP.

Especially love it with Steak Fingers, Chicken Fried Steak, and French Fries with the skin left on...........O HONEY...

NOW, LET'S GET OUR ORANGE  ON.....
....and I LOVE LOVE LOVE  ORANGE SHERBERT.

Well, I like ANY kind of sherbert, really.

And, as you can plainly see,
I love taking photos of it......:)

Hi Jean. I've never made or even eaten chicken fried steak. It looks delicious! Would you mind sharing your recipe when you have the time? Thank you

I don't use any sauce on anything either..except I like ketchup on battered fish. I know...weird. That chicken fried steak looks yummy as does the sherbet. It sure would be fun to sit down and eat dinner with you! xoDiana

Count me in as another commoner. I love ketchup too. I eat it on all kinds of things, including cottage cheese.

Yeah, probably ewwww, but really yum.

And that double dipped chicken fried steak looks delicious. We don't eat a lot of friend either so when we do, I like to make it count!

Chicken Fried Steak - I remember ordering that for fun the year we lived in Oklahoma - and I was hooked! I've never made it myself, so it's been many years since I had it. If I were somewhere in your neck of the woods I'd be ordering it from the menu, with ketchup for my chips!

I love chicken fried steak and bread it in 1/2 bread crumbs and 1/2 cracker crumbs. Is that how you do it? I would love to know your recipe.

I LOVE orange sherbert, too, except sometimes it reminds me of soft diets, i.e., hospitals! Yuk!

XO,
Jane

Our youngest son lives in Atlanta. When he finds he visits he ALWAYS wants me to make chicken fried steak. And he wants me to make it early in his stay so he can enjoy left-overs. My dh loves it when he visits because he says that's the only time I will make it, which is almost true. I love to fry but seldom do any more. Mind chicken fried steak looks just like yours!! I like mine with GRAVY. Can you say "totally unhealthy"? LOL!!

I haven't had chicken fried steak since I left Oklahoma more than three decades ago. I may be developing a hankering based on reading this post. You always have such a nice way with food and food pictures and word pictures and you're really just a very bad influence is what you are. LOL!

This is one of Louis Dean's FAVORITE meals!!! He can eat it and he can sure cook it, too!! But he doesn't cook it very much any more. He finds he can slip in an order when we are dining out a lot easier than getting me to agree to him making it at home. He is sneaky like that!!

Yours looks absolutely to die for!
Oops....sorry!! Wrong thing to say!!! (But that's how I threaten LD so he won't eat it very often! Like you say.....ever now and then!)

I love ketchup! I can't eat scrambled eggs unless I have ketchup. I put it on steak too, I know really bad.
You cracked me up with your title, cause double dipping is gross!
Dinner looks great!

I think I make the same thing, sorta but I call it country style steak. I dredge it in flour, lightly fry it in a little EVOO, then add onions, tons of onions and a can of beef broth and simmer it for an hour. I use cubed staek for the meat. Is this the same thing??? I love sherbert too!!!!!!!! XO, Pinky

CONGRATULATIONS to the in-family-cheer-leader!!!!!!!! :-)

But I have to ignore your fried chicken. I know, I'm a grouch. But I just don't allow the two of us to have such.

Oh bj, I won't let my husband see this post or he'll be headed your way! His love for CFS is over the top and I have to admit I love it too. Like you we don't do fried much, but every now and then "just got to have it". Hey, who doesn't like Ketchup! Perfect light finish to your meal. Yum, I think we'll be having a treat this weekend!
Know you are proud of your granddaughter.

I've never made or eaten chicken fried steak, believe it or not! lol You'll just have to share your recipe with us:-) It sure does look yummy, though, and I'm like you, I love my ketchup with stuff like that....or plum sauce. I don't care for the fancier stuff.

I've also never had orange sherbet...I told you I was deprived! LOL But hey, guess what? I finally found some Lemon Curd yesterday at Home Sense!! I've been looking all over for it because BJ says how delicious it is! hehe Will try it today:-) xoxo
