Workin' on my wreaths...

 GOOD MORNING, BLOGGING FRIENDS....
I just ADORE pretty CHRISTMAS WREATHS
and think you CAN'T have too many....
I wanted to show you one thing  I've been doing during my DOWNTIME...
I've made 3 wreaths, so far........

Ever since I saw MATTHEW MEAD'S
GREEN APPLE WREATH,
I've known I would make one, too.
Isn't his just beautiful !!

Of course, EVERYthing that MR. MEAD does is just stunning......
(I wonder if he ever burns himself with his hot glue gun the way I DO ?)
I am in the middle of making one, as we speak...

My apples aren't as pretty as his...
and I will add more "fluffy" looking greenery
as I find it.

Just remember that when you find a great inspiration picture of something you want to try,
 it is just that...INSPIRATION.

Putting your own twist on it....using things you already have and not having to spend mega bucks, makes us even more proud of our accomplishments .
If you are like me, anytime something calls for me spending MUCHO  dollars, it takes all the fun out of it.
ESPECIALLY at Christmas time.
(there's my camera right in the center....:)
 For now....I AM DONE....
I hung it on a mirror....and I love the look of it.
Nothing fancy at all...just a more natural kind of wreath.  ♥♥

 FATHER CHRISTMAS...

I love him so much, he stays out
all year long.  ♥♥♥

THIS little favorite wreath was bought at a thrift store several years ago ....
however, parts of her were coming loose so she needed the aid of a
HOT GLUE GUN...
now, she's as good as new.   yay !!!
I have one more I'm working on...show ya later.
....it's time for lunch...
need to RE-FUEL for more energy....
{{{{{ PASTA }}}}}

Since I bought these cute pasta bowls at the thrift store, we have been eating much more PASTA...

isn't that silly !

I haven't learned to make the homemade sauce yet....maybe after the holidays.
In the meantime, I have discovered PREGO.....and it is sooo good. A little sweet and tangy at the same time.
....garlic salt, a little olive oil, a sprinkling of cheese......O HONEY

A little Christmas gift bag that reminds me that I am looking for a good
GINGERBREAD COOKIE recipe.
......have one??

I always wondered how to attach the apples...I didn't think a glue gun could hold them, but your wreath is proof! It looks great, BJ! Love your little angel wreath, too. The pasta bowls are so cute...we have pasta at least twice a week...gotta get those carbs in!!

Happy Holidays! :-)

Jane

Love your wreaths, especially the green apple one. Very colonial to put fruit on wreaths or garlands. Your home must be so wonderful this time of year, heck, I think all year long! xpo

Hi bj, I have not been visiting much this week because I injured both of my hands in a fall at my daughter's home last week. They put out their outdoor decorations and I tripped over a cord. It is painful to get old sometimes. No broken bones, just badly bruised on the palm of my hands. Seniors should not fall!!! HA!

I do love your apple wreath. Very clever, and now I want one being that green is my favorite color.

It is looking mighty festive as always in your home my dear sister friend. I have missed you. We love pasta too. It is a treat when we have it because Bill is a diabetic. Sigh.

Happy decorating bj. I will debut my Christmas trees next Sat.
Love and hugs,
Jeanne

I love the apple wreath. Just beautiful! Aren't pasta bowls nice. I saw some red ones the other day that I wanted to buy. Now I forgot where I saw them!

Be careful with that glue gun! Those burns hurt a lot.

Which do I like most - the beautiful wreath or the yummy pasta? It's a tough call 'cause you "do all things well"!
I'll choose the Wreath since even I know how to buy Prego. LOL

You did a fabulous job on the wreaths. I really like using green apples or even just the color of green apples in my Christmas decorations. Your pasta and salad look very delicious. By the way, you said you are looking for a good gingerbread cookie recipe. I happen to have a really good one. I posted the recipe recently, so take a look when you have time.------- Shannon

bj! I thought you were taking a break..and just by chance I drop by..hoping..hoping AND there you have a post! And such a great post too!
I love the wreath and apple green is one of my very favorite colors. I guess you can tell by my patio.
Your wreath is lovely. I am wanting to do oranges but have to get the Christmas decorations up still. Rush, rush! :)
Just got started on the fireplace today. Is your tree up already? I actually put one outside this year.. I just hope it's there in the morning. We have been having terrible winds. Reminds me of the ones you had in Texas. Yikes!
NO dust like that though...thank heavens! Just a lot of broken things.
I WANT some pasta bowls. Hoping to find some at a garage sale...always hoping.
Have a wonderful, weekend bj!!
Love'n hugs..
