DECEMBER MAGAZINE COPY CAT

I have always loved POTTERY BARN'S
simple but classic CHRISTMAS WREATH.
Altho I don't have beautiful PICKET gates like PB has,
that didn't mean I couldn't have a WREATH just as beautiful.
SOOO, just in time for A CHRISTMAS RERUN...
DEBBIEDO'S  MAGAZINE COPY CAT CHALLENGE FOR DECEMBER...
We choose a photo from a great MAGAZINE or on the WEB
and put our OWN SPIN on it.
DebbieDoo...you are so much fun, I love you lots and I look  forward
EVERY MONTH
to your COPY CAT CHALLENGES...
NOW......ON WITH THE SHOW.....
For my POTTERY BARN KNOCKOFF CHRISTMAS WREATH.....I started gathering Christmas balls here and there...
HOBBY LOBBY put all their Christmas items on for 50% off...YAY...
so I bought a large, beautiful green wreath and......
WENT TO TOWN, using what Christmas balls I had on hand and
those I bought at thrift stores....with a few of the half-priced ones at Hob Lob.
...and my thrifty HOT GLUE GUN (which I am about half afraid of....)
THIS above mosaic is from last year's posting...ALL other photos are new....
I had more WHITE than RED balls but I can add more red as I get them.
I just may go back to HOBBY LOBBY and get some large RED balls and glue 'em on...

As I have stated....no pretty white picket fence with beautiful gates...
Only one lone PICKET and it is so shabbily peeling but still the perfect spot to show you my
POTTERY BARN KNOCKOFF
Christmas wreath.
.....just play-like this is a beautiful, white picket fence..k?
♫♪...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....♪♪♫
It looks so good on this olden picket, I think I will make another to go here.
The photo on your left is  POTTERY BARN'S  beautiful wreath and
it is a picture of a photo so not as bright as it most likely is in real life...
It is $78.00 plus tax and shipping
Mine costs around $8.00.... very little tax and......NO SHIPPING.  ♥♥♥
 XOXOXO bj  ♥

You are so good Bj! I love it so much, so pretty! Thank you ever so much for joining in again...you are my most loyal participant and I can always count on you:) Good luck on the giveaway too.

I can't believe anyone would buy that expensive version from Pottery Barn when it can be made so much cheaper. Yours looks just as good! I never thought of hot gluing on the wreath. I've added balls to a wreath using wire. If you hot glue though you can get them exactly where you want them. That's a better idea! I love it on your fencing too.

I have to tell you bj, I am impressed!! I really am. Yours looks fantastic. I hung some wreaths...rather plain as I went woodsy but..I am rethinking and if I can come up with some extra balls..I just may add them. Hot glue you say? Ok. I have that.
YOU are always such an inspiration. LOVE it! :)

LOL Just reread my post..and let me rephrase that. If I come up with some extra red Christmas balls, I will use them. Am I making it worse?? *Sheesh!*

Outstanding! I can't believe how much it looks like the expensive wreath -- Actually, better! You might not have a full fence, but your section of the picket fence and the wreath look so, so pretty. Great job!

Your wreath is just as or more beautiful than Pottery BARN'S. I think their stuff is highly over priced. Sorry PB but that's how I feel!

Ok, I have the picket fence, but I need a lesson from you on making the wreaths! Seriously, I didn't glue mine, so I think I'll take them apart and COPY you!! (After the holidays) :)

You and your husband are adorable, love your photo on the sidebar!

Your wreath looks fabulous! I wouldn't have thought to hot glue to balls on, but it makes sense. I'm in the process of reworking an old wreath. I think I'll get out my glue gun!

Debbie said...

What if I told you that I like your little shabby piece of picket MORE than the PB picket? Well, it's true. Both your wreath and theirs are knockouts. I love that abundant look. I never can get it quite right.

Santa says you've been a VERY good girl in saving all the money making your own beautiful wreath. What a great job you did, Ms. BJ!!

BJ,
Your wreath is gorgeous! I adore it on your piece of picket fence! Copy Cat or not...I'd say you've given Pottery Barn a good run for your money! Thanks for sharing!
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. That being half afraid of the hot glue gun...believe me...I understand!

Wow! $8.00 that is awesome. Your's is so pretty. I have a hard time turning loose with $78 for a wreath but $8 I could handle. Not so sure mine would be as nice as yours.
