Comforts of Home

Two little tiny thrifted CHRISTMAS TREES, full of multi-colored lights,
makes such a delightful spot in my living room.
Christmas Lights Love

I made a few of these cutie candles
and now, I am afraid to burn them.... :>)

I got the pretty music sheets from
THE GRAPHIC FAIRY and used
MOD PODGE to put them on the candles.
I think it makes such an amazing statement...my big ole candle here shows up a lot more now. (what is even more amazing is that I've already told you about this candle....O, well...:)

♫♪♪...I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

♫ Sleigh bells ring......are ya listening

O, what a delightful time of the year...
lights ablaze...
festive decorating..
beautiful Christmas music everywhere...
And, during all this most loved "getting ready for CHRISTMAS work",
the aroma of a beautiful roast, cooking in the crock pot,
amid juices of meat, strong black coffee and an envelope of ONION SOUP MIX,
just makes me
SO HAPPY TO BE ALIVE.
I wish there was a SCRATCH and SNIFF here so you could enjoy the smells
coming from Sweet Nothings kitchen this beautiful wintry morning.
Hoping your day is blessed, that you are getting your CHRISTMAS MOJO going,
and that you know how much you are loved.
LOVE ♥

Made more Peppermint Bark today to go in my GIFTS FROM THE KITCHEN tins....

Love those tiny trees with all the pretty light.
I did the music wrapped candles last year and never had a problem.
I didnt burn them for long periods of time though and they only melted in the middle..
They are so pretty.

Hi BJ, Your trees look good - I like your larger tree in the red bushel basket too. I made some peppermint bark a few days ago...I added more candy canes than the recipe called for, plus crushed them extra fine, and my bark is pink. It tastes really good!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hugs, Beth

I think I smell that delicious roast...it sure looks beautiful! It reminds me to dust off my crock pot!

I love your little trees and the candle is so cute. Last year I wrapped jars in music paper and used tea light candles in them. Even a small votive would work!

Happy Holidays!

XO,
Jane

Are you saying that the strong black coffee is in the crockpot with the roast and onion mix? Hmmmmm??? You're always full of suprises so I think that's what you might be saying.

Hi BJ,

I bet you house smells SO good. We all know how good it looks!

I made some of those candle sleeves but I put my big battery lit candles inside. I also would be afraid to light them if they had paper wrapped around them.

Love your little trees! We cook roast in a crock pot too, but have never used black coffee in it. What is the purpose of that? We use the onion soup mix too. Just curious. Maybe we should try using that too!

Wrapping candles in sheet music is a wonderful idea. Yours looks so festive next to those pretty little trees. The aroma of a beef roast simmering in your crock pot is frosting on the cake.

Wow, I love those trees and I can understand why you don't want to burn the candle. A scratch and sniff would have been great but you described the smell perfectly, I just could imagine it and I wish I had got my crock pot out today!
