Thank you for acknowledgement in your popover post. They do look delicious. The popovers are great when served with braised short ribs also. Thanks again Bj.

OH MY GOODNESS! A popover pan arrived at your front door? I am so happy for you! I haven't one either..but I never make popovers..I let daughters do it..and like you..I am not a real cook. Well..to me you are a REAL cook. Semi homemade is what do too!
What a nice pan and just look how beautiful your popovers are. :)
Merry Christmas, bj!
I have always wondered what a popover is...and now I know. They look very yummy and your new test run looks great.

Having read this I am feeling hungry, time for lunch I think :)
I'm happy you conquered the popover challenge!! I have never made them but I had a neighbor that made the best...she filled them with custard and I thought I was in heaven! The pans look wonderful, I have to check those out!
XO,
Jane
You made me so hungry! Way to go on finally getting the height you've been working for. :)
Oh how very sweet of Michle!!! You are now a Pro!!!
But know what "BJ," would these purrrrfect Pop-Overs be as sweeeeet, without the not-so-high-ones, you have made before?
Nope, betcha' not. The disappointment of not-going-high, makes the wonderssssssssss of going-high-with-the-right-pan, all the more wonderful.
Don't-cha-think? :-)

Oh bj, you tickle me with your twist on stories. You should write a cookbook, it would be a bestseller!
What a sweet and thoughtful friend to send you this pan so you could make those popovers. They are drool worthy and I'm sure one taste and it's just delicious! Your photos are certainly publish worthy too.
bj, I wish your and yours a Merry Christmas.

I love this popover story, including the "p" bit. Ha! Yay for dear blogging buddies. I want to give Michle a hug. (Now I really do want to know how she pronounces her name.)
Oh my goodness they look divine!
I didn't even know there was such a thing as a pop over pan (Ignorant Aussie that I am !)
Way to go on vanquishing the pop overs BJ.
That is a lovely story about receiving your popover pans. Your photos are magnificent. As it is almost lunch time here, I just wanted to grab one right off the post. Yum!
I don't think I've ever had a popover either. They look good!
I didn't even know they made special pans for making popovers...I make mine in regular muffin pans so no wonder I can never make them nice and tall like that! lol I'll have to keep my eyes open for one of them pans!! Such a sweet gesture of your friend to send one to you, as well as the recipe, they sure do look scrumptious. xoxo
