A wedding On The Bridge

Parked in the shadows of trees, waiting for a wedding to start....♥♥
A nephew got married last week and we attended the FAR OUT wedding...
I'd never been to a wedding that took place on a BRIDGE....
pretty neat, tho.
It was held on an olden, HISTORIC bridge, among trees that were SUPPOSED to be turning
beautiful colors....
however, due to the HEAT and DROUGHT, the COLOR CHANGE wasn't there.
It was still a pretty place for a casual wedding.
An olden NAIL and it's SHADOW....   ♥
A cool WEDDING IN THE SHADOWS....
Be happy, Steve...we love you !

I'm such a hopeless romantic with a flair for all things simple and historic that this would have jazzed me completely. I wish, for them, that the colors had cooperated, but I still think it's a wonderful idea.

My parents got engaged under a covered bridge. I have always thought it would be wonderful to get married under a covered one. They just don't have them around here.

Sweet. Love this idea for an outside wedding and adore old bridges but I am afraid of heights so I could not do it myself.

Well that's a shame that the leaf colors weren't cooperating. Didn't they get the memo that there was going to be a special ceremony taking place? Ha! That was certainly a unique place to have a wedding. I hope they have a great future together.

Nice unique wedding that everyone will remember.
I love the photos with the shadows falling across them.

That is a cool idea and, if all had gone according to plan, it might have been even more beautiful with the foliage. Nevertheless, I'm sure that it was very meaningful for the happy couple. All the best to them!

Very creative idea for a wedding!
When I think of the cost involved in renting a church or many other venues, I think a wedding on a bridge is a fantastic choice.

Obviously no traffic on this bridge! Isn't it amazing the ideas people have for their weddings these days?

What a great idea for a wedding! Congratulations to the new couple.

BJ to answer your questions I did order them from Country Curtains (one panel at a time LOL) as for the apron I didn't do anything special to it just hung it, the fabric is kind of heavy or thick, maybe that is why.
Have a Happy Halloween!

That's an amazing one of a kind wedding celebration!!!

I never thought of that. I can see that the man & wife are so contented in their decision of place of marriage.

Love their thoughts & the shadows that you captured, Lady B!

Hope you enjoyed the party and have a quite Sunday p.m. & a great week ahead.

Greetings from chilly Stockholm,

Congratulations to the newlyweds! I like that people are personalizing weddings now, I think it makes them so much more fun and interesting:>)

No need for a fancy wedding - the love will keep them together more than the fancy reception. Their vows will be heard by God in any venue, and the bridge is excellent for a non-traditional venue. Sweet!

A wedding on a bridge..now why didn't I think of that! Probably because we have NO bridges around here...not even 55 years ago!

I LOVE weddings. I notice you were very busy photographing your surroundings...:)

Sue said...

Well that is cool. I really like it that people today can get married however they like. I had a beautiful wedding, but it was much more my mother's "party" than mine. I would do it so differently now!

So neat. I've never seen anything like that.

Looking forward to seeing your contribution to Seasonal Sundays this Sunday.
