MORE Pottery Barn and Magazine Love

One of my grands says that I am OBSESSED with POTTERY BARN...
and she is just about right...
Their rooms are so CLASSY and just perfect...
*sigh
I could SO live in these rooms....sooo EASY.
I mean...just look at that SOFA...
*

Wouldn't it be fun if you could just buy their beautiful and classic things to go in your rooms..
I would love that, too...
Seems just a piece or two of furniture and a few pieces of their awesome decorating items
would transform a room in the blink of an eye...
*
I would just flat love a room like this, maybe in a house with dormers....
this is so full of personality. I can't remember where this photo came from..Country Living, maybe.
of COURSE, the black and white polka dots yelled out MY name...
OK, let's see here....we've got red walls, white trim, black and white and PINK...
and it looks like a million dollars...

Even PB'S  glass pumpkins
take my breath away...
mercury glass ??
MY GOSH...this is just magical...another from Country Living, I believe.
who wouldn't dream of far away places, sleeping in such  delightful surroundings...
I do believe this pretty room came from Country Living..
and I surely would TAKE it and be sooo happy..
I am CRAZY about painted WHITE floors.
Everyone is loving chalk boards now and
POTTERY BARN made them famous....
*
They just know how to
make cuteness....!
...not too sure where THIS cute photo came from....
but if POTTERY BARN did make cookies, they'd look like this !!
*
You know I am lovin' these numbers...
I bought one at TUESDAY MORNING last winter, filled it with the best ORANGE drop candy
and gave it to my good friend, MARTHA. She was in the hospital and needed a little SUNSHINE.:)
Isn't this just awesome !!!
$199.00
mercy...
but...it's so pretty..*
Rooms like THIS make me want to get in my dining room
and tear it all apart and start all over....
I want to get those curtains off my windows...and put up gigantic wreaths...
take my blue rug out and go for more natural....
I don't want any more pictures on the walls..
I am yearning for simpler rooms...but with beauty.
**
Now, I realize that I have contradicted myself ....by liking that pink/red bedroom...:))
It has lots and lots of pretty "stuff"...oh, well....
I have been in COVET MODE over this largest lantern from ♫♪♪ POTTERY BARN ♪♪♫
for EVER !
It is sold out right now...
It had a price tag of over $100 .
THIS is the look that sends me into a tail spin.
LOVE. IT.
While in Dallas on Spring Break, I went into PB
and
THEY HAD THIS BIG LANTERN
ON SALE, BABY.
40  big ones.
I grabbed that lantern so fast and ripped my purse open so fast,
everything around me nearly caught on fire.

I am on the lookout now of some sheet music that
I can wrap around my candles....I just LOVE that look.
*note...I just discovered THE GRAPHIC FAIRY..
and her beautiful sheet music.
Here's that pretty lantern in MY house.
*sigh....do you EVER get to an age where you don't love changing things
up around your cottage?
I don't think so...
it's waaay too much fun.
xoxoxo bj
NOTE:
I have absolutely NO idea why some of my words are so tiny.

I'm happy you found your pretty lantern BJ, great price too! PB is amazing, I love classic looks that don't go out of style:@)

I am sure the mister hopes I quit wanting to change things up around here. Love that lantern and always love getting ideas form PB.

Yes, I totally agree with you when it comes to Pottery Barn love. I stare at the magazines and their website almost daily. They just have it down perfectly.

All those pictures are lovely-however I have never found Pottery Barn sofas to be very comfortable. We are all about comfort over looks at our house. I do however absolutely love that PB coffee table-have had my eye on that for a long time.

Hi BJ,
I certainly hope we never get too old to want to change things up in our homes. When I'm too old to do it, I'll just live vicariously through the home decor mags and catalogs because I know I'll never give them up! LOL!

I just finished drooling over a new Pottery Barn catalog I just received. It's full of Christmas decor and it's all so swoon worthy.

Love your lantern and I'm glad you got it at a good price. Looks great in your home.

hugs
Sissie

Love your new lantern!I admit I don't change things up as much as I used too-I know that makes the hubby happy. lol!

Hi BJ, I love the romantic bedroom picture from Country Living. I was in PB the other day and I told my friend that I wish I could just move in there! Maybe my second home could be the Restoration Hardware store. Love the lantern and you got a great deal. Take care.
Hugs,
Sherry

Oh, BJ - I am so in agreement with you. I LOVE Pottery Barn. Unfortunately, I can't even get them to ship me a catalogue to drool over. :( They are shipping some things to Canada now, but I'm all about the knock-off version, and just love to peruse the catalogue for inspiration. I'm old-fashioned when it comes to catalogues, too - I want one to hold in my hand. So I satisfy myself with browsing online once in a while, but oh how I wish I lived closer to a Pottery Barn. The nearest to me is in Boston area.

It must've been fate for you to stumble upon that lantern on sale. It looks great in your home. Glad you were able to find it. Pottery Barn does have great stuff!

I just got a PB catalog and I can't get enough of looking theough it for ideas. I love my bright color, but darned if I am not beginning to pine for the fresh creamy upholstery and rustic details in these rooms! It just all looks so relaxed, elegant and homey:>)

www.thewhitefarmhouse2.blogspot.com said...

I love the rusticness of these rooms. PB is so talented when it comes to creating rooms. I need to win the lottery first though! I just saw those lanterns at TJ Maxx! I was really tempted too. Love anything mercury glass! Those are just gorgeous too! Be still my heart!

I'm going to have to check out PB closer. I like that bedroom with the pink. I would have never thought about putting all those colors in a room with red walls, but it looks good. New follower!

Received the following in my email...

I love this post! I wanted to share this with you: My husband's grandma is 97 -- until she was 90, she was always changing things. I have a cousin who is almost 91 -- she has renovated her kitchen three times in the last 15 years! So, I think you are right -- we never get to old. Your lantern and the surrounding arrangement look fantastic!

BTW, I worked at PB one Christmas, and the discount was great. I think I owed THEM money when my tenure was up! The greatest thing about PB's stuff is the way it mixes and combines with what you already have.

My goodness, we would have arm wrestled right there in the store over that lantern! However..for one of your pieces of coffee cake I would have let you have it in a heartbeat! :) It IS gorgeous..and think of all the different ways you can use it.
I LOVE Pottery Barns napkin rings..and rustic bird nest placemats. I am so glad I don't live close to one. I would be in deep trouble..but I still manage to find some of their things. Like my little set of childs dishes..even the box they came in is precious! Yep! Pottery Barn is addictive!

Hey BJ~ At Hobby Lobby, they have scrap book paper that looks like sheet music. Do you have one close to you? If not I will send you some :) Sooo loved the pics!!
Oh- still NO rain in East Texas :(
Never seen it like this! Been pulling dozens of shrubs up, grass is crunchy-even cut down a dead tree in front yard :(

Have a great weekend!

That is a great deal on that lantern! I always wonder how long it would take me to accidentally get paint on one of those pretty sofas or my kids to really break it in! Pretty, pretty rooms.
