WHAT IS IT ??

always comes up with the cutest ideas for her weekly meme...
SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
*
Last week, she had
"SHOW US YOUR GRAIN SACKS"
and since I don't have a single, solitary, beautiful, O-SO-HOT grain sack....
I didn't get to play
but I sure got to see a LOT of really cool grain sacks and how to use them.
Swing over and take a look...really cute ideas.
*
OK, this Saturday game is
"What Is It ?"
When I told MR. SWEET that I needed something that I had NO IDEA what it was,
it didn't take 5 minutes and he was back with
THE ABOVE.
He found it at a super garage sale....
*
I don't have a single clue as to WHAT it is ...
but...it's so cute with it's little wooden handle and all..
Since FUNKY and INDUSTRIAL is
THE
new look, I am going to use this baby in some funky decorating..
Since I don't know what the cute little thing is...
I thought maybe it was something used to
grind  coffee  beans...
Our weather is so pretty out here in West Texas,
I was able to do a photo shoot outside...
photos are ALWAYS better outside, aren't they ?
...but...
I don't think it would do nearly as good a job as this
vintage coffee grinder
does on grinding coffee beans...
NOPE...
I don't think it has ANYthing to do with COFFEE bean grinding.

OK...MAYbe it's a tiny
COOKIE presser-outer thingy...???
Now, we're talkin' tee-tiny, little bitty cookies...!!
I do have my doubts......
;))
Sooo...if it's NOT a COOKIE PRESS...
...and it doesn't GRIND COFFEE...
WHAT THE HECK IS it ???
While you think about it,
I fixed you a cup of hot coffee and a plate of cookies...

Does it sound like I am
rubbing it in
that most everyone has snow....
lots and LOTS of snow...
and we have.....NONE...having fairly warm weather, up during the day...
???!!??

nooo......not me !!
:))
♥♥♥♥♥
Now, watch...
next week WE will be the ones that get covered alive in that white, fluffy, cold stuff.

Actually, we would LOVE to get some snow out here in West Texas..
some winters, we do get a little...
other winters, NONE AT ALL...
If we fail to get ANY moisture,
come spring,
we will be covered alive by
sandstorms....
♥♥♥
I do pray that ya'll stay warm, safe and have fun being inside.
LOVE, bj

  4. Good Morning BJ!
I have no idea what that little gadget is. If I remember I'll get my hubby in here once he get's up and see if he knows. Your pictures are wonderful... think they're getting better every post you make! I have a sack but mine has to do with chickens and I have it hanging in my kitchen. Thanks for starting my day off with some pretty pictures... you have yourself an awesome weekend!

  5. BJ,
You're a hoot!Yes! There's a smile on my face. . .you always seem to have that effect on me! Thank you, dear friend, for brightening my days.
Gadget, No Clue! "Mr. Ed" won't be home until late. . .but I'll ask him.
No snow here, ICE, instead! I had a SNOW day yesterday, but off to work this morning. .. yeah!We lived on base at Fort Hood, Texas and I experienced my first and only sand storm. I was terrified, but tried not to let it show! Our son was 20 months old. I remember covering us in a wet sheet as the sand was coming through the patio door in our government housing. What a mess to clean afterwards. . .but we all survived, safe and sound.
    Fondly,
    Pat

  15. 'Uncle A.' will now dictate to me...

"Unscrew it and clamp it to something, as a handle. Orrrrr open it up, put a piece of garlic in it, and screw it down and the garlic would come out through the little holes."

    LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!~!!!

You have to admit that he can be creative, when he doesn't know the answer!!!! >,-)

    Hugs & ♥'s...

  32. You have the nerve saying you have no snow...aaarrrggghhhhh! lol We now have lots of snow and the temperature right now is -10F...time to hibernate me thinks!!!

Hmmmm that certainly is a vintage tool I've never seen before. I even had my magnifying glass out to look at the pictures of it. I don't think anything comes out of those holes so it can't be a garlic press or anything like that. Almost looks like you can fit screws in those holes. Some kind of clamp. Ah heck, I don't know! lol

Always love your pictures especially when you can take them OUTSIDE WHERE IT'S WARM AND SUNNY!!!! lol xoxo

  33. Okay Miss BJ, my hubby said that if you don't have an answer by next week, he will take the picture of it and let some of the greatest minds have a look at it. Let me translate, it means he is going to take it up to the place the men gather in town, unofficially called East Allen Educational Center! After all I do live in a little village which has been dubbed the Antique Capital of Michigan! lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. Alright Miss BJ, are you ready? My hubby took pictures up to the unofficial, official gathering place of the men in the village, dubbed East Allen Educational Center. Now I had him take it knowing that we have several antique vendors that frequent the place but the answer didn't come from them, instead it came from a man that works at a jewelry store in a nearby city, according to him...it is a hand held clamp, you place dowel rods in the holes as needed to hold the item. He uses his to fix rings. The antique dealers were not all silent, one of them offered you $20. for it, that was before any one came up with what it was! The jeweler is going to bring his in to show them how it works.
