Big RED, juicy FUJI apples..
all ready for a
TART..
or
TWO..
*
TWO TARTS cooling in the window..
*
apples, sugar, cinnamon, a little flour, a dash of salt, a tiny bit of lemon juice..
a teaspoon of vanilla....
Fuji apples have the thinnest, tastiest and very tender skin, so no need to peel..
...and, I added these wonderful pecan pieces...
they are actually used for ice cream but, lately, I've added them to a LOT of different things..
not to mention I sometimes eat them right out of the cute can...
I had NO INTENTIONS, whatsoever, of making

Oh darn...I was going to make apple butter this weekend but now I am not sure....hahahaha...everything looks so mouth watering.
Sylvia
I would say you are a "tart", but I really think you are a "PEACH." Yes, you my dear, you are just a peachy sort of a gal!
Big Hugs...
Your apple tart looks so scrumptious. I wish I could bake and cook like you, BJ, or just have the energy to do so, lol....Christine
What a sweetie you are. Cute little ditty you had there...lol.....
BJ, Your tarts look fantastic! I saw those on Cass' blog too and thought about making them. You inquired about the difference between tarts and pies - I didn't know, but I googled tart vs. pie and found a source that says it's the crust/dough. Pie dough is more flakey, tart dough is sturdy and slightly sweeter. Tarts usually are filled with a custard and tarts do not have two crusts. My pumpkin tart (from ButterYum) had used crushed gingersnaps and butter for the crust.
Your photos are lovely, BJ! So glad I had the chance to come to tea today. I'm loving your apple tart!!!
Hugs, Beth
Lovin' your tart! I saw the one Cass posted too but ended up making muffins. Have a great night BJ:@)
Yummo!
*hugs*deb
I am so hungry right now and that tart looks like just the thing to satisfy me! I love apple baking recipes because my daughter is allergic to uncooked apples, but can eat them after baking! I'm going over to see that recipe right now! Linda
That looks delicious! I only have two apples, not sure it's enough to make more than a turnover though.
I saw the tart on Cass' blog and now yours, so you know I have to make it!! I didn't know much about Fuji apples until now and I'll use them so I don't have to peel them. Oh, yum. The pecan pieces and ice cream look delicious! Thanks for the tea! ;-D
XO,
Janie
I just love the white tea set! Oh, the tart is so divine! How I wish I could knock on Cass Door! I know I would never want to leave! Thank you for joining me for Tea Time! I wish I could have a bite of this wonderful Tart!!! I just love how you put them in the window to cool!

Oh wow Jean, does this ever look yummy. What a special treat.
You bought PECANS when you have trees all over your property? We'll I'll be! And from the one who made CFS with brown gravy! LOL
Hope you enjoyed your apple, so much better than a pile of scrapple! :)
It all looks so wonderful that I could lick the screen! Instead I'll wander over to Cass's place and pick up the recipe!

Hi bj, I never did get to visit yesterday but today I have some time to play. I love playing... Your post yesterday was so much fun. Elvis came to Miami when I was about 15. I didn't get to see him so I pretended I didn't care. I CARED!!! Smile.
I too met Johnny Cash after a concert at the UF college where we lived while Bill finished college. He was not at all appealing to me. I think he was on drugs that night. I grew to really love him later on.
Now for that apple tart. I am going to find out the recipe right now. It looks delicious and a friend gave me a bunch of apples off her tree.
Love you bunches my sister friend.
Jeanne xoxoxo
BJ, I just love seeing what you're up to each morning ~ you always start my day off just right with a big smile or laugh or two. You're definitely a hoot and how I would love to live close enough to you to enjoy that in person!! Your tarts look delicious and now I'm off to visit Cass.
Hahahahaha! OH BJ you are a hoot too. (Which is probably better than being a tart!)
Thanks for linking to Tart Old House --- I mean That Old House!
Yours looks delish! I didn't get to make mine on Sunday after all but will try today --- my dad's going thru another rough patch and it's hard for me to find time to do much of anything, which is why the kitchen painting is taking three weeks!
Have a great Tuesday ...
Cass
Yummy TART dear BJ! I just bought apples at the store yesterday:) Have a blessed day and thanks for sharing you lovely tart, beautiful white tea set and the link to your friend! HUGS!
I am catching up after a few days away. I am so impressed with your appple tart and with pecans; that's smart. Love your little poems.
I love apple anything (just made crock pot applesauce and froze 5 jars)but your beautiful pictures....my apple baking doesn't hold a candle to yours. I'm sitting here, starving to death, and now I want an apple tart!! :)
This looks so yummy --- and I adore your white china

BJ, the apple tart with all the yummie stuff is just perfect with a cup of tea...and I sure like it with lots and lots of ice cream ;-)
Hi BJ, I was going thru your posts and saw the one about drop leaf tables. I LOVE the harvest table you painted red - could you tell me what color that is and brand of paint? And how many coats did you have to use? The color would be perfect in my bedroom. Thanks, and have a great week!
xoxo

Looks so delicious BJ! I brought home gobs of apples from Vermont - now all devoured - wish I would have had this recipe!
