Mmmm...not bad at all! Sheeshh...Girlfriend, I do believe that you could cook a feast with little of nothing! Ohhh...and your dessert looks divine! Well dear friend, welcome back home! I bet Alaska was fabulous!!! It's on my list of "to do's" someday!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
PS...my kids and folks said that they are getting tons of rain from tropical Hermine. Have you felt any effects where you are?
Lol, I am not at all surprised that you had the makings for a yummy dessert even though the cup[board was bare:>) I just had DUnkin Onuts coffee last night for the first time. It was good!
It all looks delish!!

It looks delicious BJ. That's my favorite way to eat pasta.
Southern girls know how to put together a meal from nothing! Looks wonderful! Can't wait to hear all about your trip! ♥
No matter what, the resourceful can always put together a meal! And it looks good too! Dessert is a must!
Hope you are ok in the storms!
You had me at the toasted hot dog bun!!!

Looks good to me! My fav is a good old bowl of bread and milk with a bit of jam on top..add some cheese slices on the side with some little green onions dipped in salt..YUM! ;D
Your meal looks fit for a king and queen! I know how hard it is to come home from a long time of traveling. You pulled together a pretty awesome meal!

DANG! You are making me hungry...LoL have a great week.
Nancy
One of my BFF is from Birmingham and she, too, is a marvolous hostess and creative cook. But, what really impresses me is you have cookies in your freezer....I'd have those puppies eaten before I left on vacation. Hope you enjoyed Alaska.
It all looks pretty good to me ~ especially the dessert! Yum!
YUUUUMMMMM!!! I'd take that lunch any day of the week, chick! Welcome back...
xoxo,
Connie
Girl you could pull something out of the garbage and make it look so yummy!! You've got a wonderful knack to make everything look wonderful :)
BJ I'm seeing noodles/pasta all over Blogland and I need a fix!!! Your deserts look great, as always-enjoy!
You do have a way of making everything look delish!! I love my egg noodles this way and I love that whipped cream!!

Everything looks delish to me! And Dunkin donut coffee is the BEST coffee there is! YUM
Dessert looks yummy!!!
BJ -- you have a way with making whatever you fix look wonderful! How blessed we all are to have plenty---even when the cupbords seem bare. Love your beautiful spirit. Hope you had a wonderful vacation to Alaska!
Just home & tired from a big week away & you didn't say, "Honey, make it yourself" (like I would have :) & then you stop to take pictures... Girl, you impress the heck out of me. And that sweet tea looks SOooo good right now, that I think that I will go & make some....
As always a pleasure to visit your place.
Well, great...
It's 10:00 at night, and now I want some chocolate. Not just any chocolate either. I want some just like that. And in a pretty cup too!
Well, bj, I see that you have the fixins for dessert!! Actually it all looks pretty yummy to me. Can't wait to see pictures from your Alaska trip! Linda
I love your pore man's lunch! We all have those days, don't we. I see you believe that things taste better in a great glass - I love the sweet tea in a champaign glass. Wonderful tablescape and I am glad you enjoyed your trip!
Oh, that looks just yummy!!!!
I love buttered noodles too--so good!
You did real good! I'm going home tomorrow. I am sure I won't be able to create anything this elegant from my stash; you inspire me!
Rita
Looked like a feast, you can even make a toasted hot dog bun look tasty:)
Have a blessed day! HUGS!
Not bad at all! It all looks very yummy and it's presented so prettily!
Manuela
OMG - I have had that coffee dessert on my mind since I saw your blog and pic. Well this morning I pulled up the pic and made it. I did have to transfer mine from a coffee cup to a soup bowl mug! LOL
Soooooooo good girl!
Looks pretty tasty to me, especially the dessert!
Hi bj, can I come to dinner. A good Southern girl can make dinner out of a rock!!! HA! It all looks delicious.
I commented on your OD post bj. This past week as been way too busy for visiting. The story of my life. sigh.
I am catching up today.
Love you and have missed you soooo much.
Jeanne
you have such a fun personality, it comes through on your post. I'll have to stay a while and read some more of your posts.
I can't count how many times we've had a similar meal...sometimes it's good to just eat whatever is there. But I LOVE that drink, actually both looked really good to me!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
by the way, thanks for coming over to visit me.
Isn't presentation just everything! You make me smile! I have friends who just returned from Alaska, too. Small world...here in blog world, at least. Thanks for stopping by my post. Come any time for a visit. Cherry Kay
There is nothing like a home cooked meal after eating out, for day!
I would love for you to go through my cupboards and create something for dinner.
Stopping from SITS!
Glad you made it back safely from your cruise. I have been in your position before, empty shelves and frig. I hate going to the grocery store. I could not subject my birds with the kind that enjoy barnyards.
To be humble is an outstanding character trait to have - we sometimes forget how very blessed we are. Thank you sooo much for sharing - I counted my blessings as well after reading your post....
Please visit my blog
http://tammy-domesticdivaatwork.blogspot.com/ on or after 09/30/10 for my 100th post "Wedding Tablescape".
What a wonderful job you did with what you had! That is a very special talent to have. The dessert looks amazing. I really like your black and white checked placemats.
Well, Yum on that coffee creation...I have never thought of doing ice cream and coffee but if it tastes anywhere near as good as it looks...I'm ready to try it. Welcome back.
Ice cream in my coffee? I'll try that! I often toast extra buns...we can never eat an entire package and if I freeze them, I forget them. Looks okay to me:)
Hey BJ,
Oh yeah, love me some bacon!
You are so sweet to come by and check on me. I'm just fine. I guess I was ready for a blogging break and didn't know it. Busy summer, but I'll probably be back on the band wagon soon!
You always have the bestest looking food! Take good care!
love ya
Santa
Being who I am...I would have skipped lunch and just ate dessert! Oh, the cookies!!!!! The coffee and whipped creme is yummie too. Glad you shared your lunch with us. Thank you.
That may be called a poor man's lunch but it looked delicious. I believe the dessert is the rich man's. Alaska is a great place to beat the Texas heat. I hope you received some of the rain this week.
