Lotsa pink around here.....

It seems, right here at summer's end,
a LOT of PINKNESS has been showing up around Sweet Nothings cottage...
and it all seems to have something to do with....
grandgirls....
**
First of all...
I found these TWO
BANANA SPLIT BOATS in PINK
at the DOLLAR GENERAL STORE close to my house for half price...
$1.00 each...just precious and just PERFECT to serve GRANDS a
delicious treat...
*
MIZZ DEEDS, my most youngest grandgirl,
was spending the weekend with me and
these pink banana boats
were TALKING to us..
"banana splits....we need banana splits"
Sooo....
OF COURSE we started gathering the luscious ingredients of a
TRUE BANANA SPLIT....
just the way SHE wanted it..
HOT FUDGE
FRESH FRUITS
WHIPPED CREAM
PECANS
CHERRIES
OOO, WHAT MORE COULD A GRANDGIRL WANT ??
why....PINK COOKIES, of COURSE.
*
(O, yes...$2.00 for the two banana split boats and $1,000.00 for ingredients....
but......that's what grandmothers do, you know !! ;>))
*
Fresh strawberries.....fresh, ripe bananas....
Our eyes were dancing by this time...diamonds make SOME girls happy..
...fresh fruits going in to make a BANANA SPLIT makes US happy....uh hu !!!
*
May I just say that THIS was a WORK OF ART....
~~~~~~~~~~~
A delicious bed of fresh BANANAS....
~~~~~~~~~~
#1.....Vanilla Bean Ice Cream..
#2.....Fresh Strawberries...
#3.....HOT Fudge...
#4.....Paula Deen's WONDERFUL Ice Cream Topping PECANS...
#5.....Creamy Whipped Cream...
#6.....with CHERRIES ON TOP !!...
TOTAL $1000.00 (well, nearly !) :>)
TIME WITH A GRANDGIRL.....
PRICELESS !!
*
The pinkness girl didn't waste a minutes time on chowing down on this beauty..!
**
HOT FUDGE.....
OMGosh....!!!
Believe me when I say you NEVAH get too old for HOT FUDGE...
**
My pretty girl was getting after that delicious
BANANA SPLIT...
I mean, she was gettin' down to business with it...
I'm not even sure she TASTED those pink cookies...
her mouth was too full of ICE CREAM.....:))
**
WHEWWWW.....THEY SURE WERE GOOD..
**

SHE
said they were "GOOD TO THE LAST DROP" ! :-))

At Sweet Nothings there once lived a wonderfully floral pig.
~~~~~
So pink and sweet, I shed some tears,
The piggy even had blue ears.
A curly tail and painted toes,
a precious little piggy nose.
Another one of BJ's finds, it danced on the table,
among the pork rinds.
I'd gladly bring it home with me,
and listen to it squeal Wheeee!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are so cute, Kathy Grace..
Please send me your mailing address..(I have it somewhere...but, where?) and I will put this
little piggy in a box, ship her right off to you so that she can cry
WEE WEE WEE all the way home !!
*******************
THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!
My thanks to everyone.....

Happy Pink Saturday BJ Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. Love the little grand daughter, isn't she just a bundle of love? Love the little banana boats that you found, just perfect. I haven't heard of Paula Deans ice cream topping pecans, I am going to have to check that out.

Oh if it wasn't so late I would be headed out to the grocery store for a few special ingredients myself. Yummy BJ, you always make me hungry. You are the best cook, and make the best treats. I need to pop by for a visit. No wonder the grands love to stop by.

Thanks for sharing sweetie. Hope you have a beautiful weekend. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

Happy PiNk, BJ,

That banana split looks divine!! And I love the pink that you found.

Now....paleez! Since Blogger has added this new SPAM folder I can't find anywhere how to turn off my word verification. There used to be a "comments" section where you could type in what you want your comment window to say, to set {or NOT} word verification, turn on or off post moderation.

It's GONE!! Vanished...hee hee I looked at it over a week ago thinking I need to turn that thingie off but found that I had gone to The Twilight Zone. :0)

So if you don't mind go into your blog panel and find it for me and come tell me. If all these options are still there then something has disappeared in my settings. That's the best I can tell....or else I'm having a senior brain dead moment..which is very likely these days..LOL

Hugs to you,
Stephanie

Such cute dishes, even cuter grandgirl. My little grands are coming in just a little while. Hubby loves it because I buy Poptarts! It is the only time I buy them. Now, he could have Poptarts if he wanted them anytime, but no...only with those little boys:)

I KNEW when I saw that picture in your link up that I didn't need to come over and look at this so late at night. YUM doesn't even beginn to describe how that looks to me, and I REALLY don't need to eat anything at this hour of the night, but I think I'm going to HAVE to get a bowl of ice cream! I know I'm not going to look as cute eating as Deeds looks! Thank you for linking this cutie with her delicious looking ban. split to Favorite Things Sat. Tell Deeds I said thanks a lot for all of the extra callories she's causing me to consume! laurie

Hi BJ
Thanks for stopping by the new Back Porch.

The old page just up and vanished last Tuesday. I am thinking a hacker liked my custom domain...because it showed up elsewhere. Not to worry...it was a freebie or I would have had a bigger conniption fit! I can tell you, I channeled my strong Texas Woman grandmother a time or two last week!;-)

The dishes are cute and I love the looks of the banana split and your g'kiddo enjoying it! She is a cutie pie.

Hi BJ,

Thanks so much...I was looking within the NEW Comment tab for the word verification instead of going into the Settings. Big, DUH! Blogger does this just to baffle and confuse some of us..LOL

I've turned it off so it won't take long to see if anything undesirable makes it's way through.

Have a great day,
Stephanie ♥

Oh, Sugar...that banana split looks absolutely delicious!!! Haven't had one of those since I was a kid as I can remember. Nothing like spending special time with the grands!!!

Stephanie Suzanne Designs said...

Hi BJ,

Yes, I know about all this stuff and have my comments window personalized and I also have my comment moderation set for any comments on posts over 14 days old require my approval. It was another way to stop the bad spammers from posting automatically since they love leaving it in old posts.

I just went "brain dead" over this new COMMENT tab that was added and failed to look in the Settings tab to find the comments tab that I needed..

Thanks for reminding me where it was! I think I'm back on track again. I haven't blogged a whole lot this summer and have missed the introduction of these new Blogger things.

I'm so glad you are keeping up with all of this new stuff!

Hugs to you,
Stephanie ♥

Hi bj, I am late commenting on your wonderful, awesome, delicious, delightful, stupendous,(possibly not a word) and most mouth watering banana split. Watching Deeds eating it, is adorable. Great pics as always. Who needs a pink cookie anyway? Smile.

I have been gone 4 days with my sister on another buying trip to Ohio, KY and every antique mall in between. I arrived home late Sunday night. I found a couple of treasures. She found a LOT!!! We had so much fun. That is why I have not been by.

Love you bunches and congrats to the piggy winner. Her poem was so cute.
