CLOCHES HERE...CLOCHES THERE...

REPOSTED TO CORRECT A LINK...
UNLIKE most ladies in Blogland,
I have to work REALLY hard when we have a
CLOCHE PARTY...
....because....I DON'T HAVE A CLOCHE !

We are blessed to still have CRAYONS and COLOR BOOKS around..
so the crayons seemed a GOOD THING to go into my large IRISH CREME cup..

and, I love keeping my little votive candles in this big glass jar...
...can this count, Marty?
*
ALTHO it's IN glass and not UNDER it, I had to
include my little SWEET POTATO that, when it grows up,
it just MIGHT be a big, luscious, green VINE...:))
*********************************************************************
CLOCHES EVERYWHERE...
'Cause it's time for
MARTY'S annual CLOCHE PARTY...
Come over and join her for lots of beautiful eye candy
in Blogland today..
*
I was cloche-less LAST year and .....I still am. *sigh
So...
I am showing THIS from last year.....
and THIS from last year.
I knew this wasn't a cloche...but I thought these little CLEMENTINES looked precious ...
*
Well, I was reading a blog today and she said,
"I don't have a cloche so I took the dome off my anniversary clock and used it."
*
HELLO.....I have an anniversary clock...with a dome...
woo hoo !!
*

I turned my crystal cake stand over and...
I TRIED to put this amazing BERRY BLOSSOM under glass but..
the dome was too TALL and the BLOSSOM was too low....it just looked really dorky...
...it just didn't work.
**
AND, THEN....
I remembered THESE.....
*

Don't they look precious UNDER GLASS ?
They just BARELY fit....but they did fit..
I'm pretty sure you will be seeing a table scape using
THIS as the centerpiece...I am lovin' it....
*
Remember THE SISTERS IN THE BLOGGERETTE SORORITY ?
That's my RUSH project ....back in the back...the sisters photo I glued onto that cute platter...

I had a lot of fun playing around with my blacks and whites and the clock dome..

Those little tiny JUICE glasses...
GOODWILL hunting....all four little glasses full of CUTENESS for a dollar..
a little apple and a lemon on each one with the AMAZING and much loved
BLACK AND WHITE CHECKS....
*
I just got out the Vanilla Bean ice cream, dusted lightly with CINNAMON.... and
the little BERRY BLOSSOM
and..... "I ATE THE WHOLE THING."

Howdy, Mz BJness! Oh, honey, what a pretty post! Your cake covers all look wonderful and the glass hurricanes all work for cloches. I use a dome from an anniversary clock too. It's one of my smallest! I love your cute little cups all stacked up under it! You've made the most beautiful vignettes!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I am in your boat - no cloche at my house either...but I did purchase a dome at a yard sale...the anniversary clock was missing...so perhaps I adopt your idea too!

Loved all the pictures.

Amelia

PS Missed the music, though!

I learned something new today...I have never heard of a cloche before. Does that mean that I am too young? Ceartainly not...it means that I don't have a cloche.

Beautiful blog!

You may not have a cloche (don't feel bad, neither do I)...but you sure have been able to use your resources and come up with awesome substitutes!! :D

Clock dome ~ great idea ~ but I don't have one of those either. I once had a lovely MacKenzie-Childs cloche with a wooden cheese board. The dome broke, but I still have the board. Why didn't I think of this earlier. I need to take it with me to find a new dome. Then I'd have something to share. ;-)
Love the black and white stacked under the dome.
My new MacK catalog arrived in today's mail. I'm in love with many of the new pieces in the Odd Fellows pattern. Wonder if Santa will put some of these in my stocking?

BJ,
I am cloche-less too! But I love your tea cups under your clock dome. That looks fabulous!

You always have so many pretty goodies to share with us. No doubt you must be a super cook and have wonderful treats for your family. I have not changed how my comments are published. As far as I know, that is the way it has always been. I just know how to do the basic stuff.

PAT AT BACK PORCH MUSINGS...if you happen by, please know that I am SHOCKED at this turn of events..and I've tried to leave you a message but, being OLDEN, it is hard to teach an OLD dog new tricks and that typepad thing has me bumfuzzled ! I have no idea how to get a comment to you so...
HELLO, and hope things get worked out so you are back with us on your regular blog. :))

I am here BJ...I don't know why you can't get that comment thing to work. Are you able to comment at Beverly's (how sweet the sound) or Jeanne's (Backyard Neighbor)? I don't know how to fix it. I may have to holler for help from them!

And now...I like your post very much especially that sweet potato...it has been years since I saw a sweet potato growing in a glass.

So beautiful and so original, BJ! DO you know anythign about sweet potato vines? I have them all over the terraced garden and I wonder if I will kill the plant if I dug out the sweet potatoes. Otherwise, how do you get them out?...Christine
