MR. SWEET'S HAPPY FATHER'S DAY BRUNCH...

One of his favorite breakfasts/brunch is ORANGE CINNAMON ROLLS, HAM, FRUIT and JUICE...
He's so EASY !!

Keeping the table SIMPLE, just a small pot of SUNFLOWERS and Mr. Sweet's picture with our kids...
I SHOULD have added a CANDLE....what WAS I thinking ?

It's time for another family photo..
this one is about 8 yrs. old....

He actually prefers a THICK slice of Country ham but we
had thinner ones on this morning..
*
*
I love this BLOOM effect I sometimes use for my photos....
These are my much loved VINTAGE flat ware.
My mother gave me her set many years ago and
just a couple of years ago, I bought more of the vintage flatware on Ebay...
I actually would LOVE to have a little more.
When we love something, it seems we never really have ENOUGH of it...
*
As you can see, I used my new OLDEN cheery CHERRY dishes..

I have searched high and low for some more of these pretty dishes and...NO LUCK...I am thinking they have been discontinued from the COVENTRY dish line...BUMMER !!
*

and also using the brightly colored place mats that were on clearance at WALMART...
Most of the time, I don't care much for Walmart...but sometimes,
they have some cute things on sale that I really love.....like these place mats..
*

I really love these little bright and cheerful dishes...ESPECIALLY at breakfast time.
Just a great way to start our day.
*

He had a great FATHER'S DAY..
our kids and grands came over the day before to watch all the ALASKAN photos..
then we all went out to eat at ROSA'S MEXICAN FOOD...
So good...
*******
Mr. Sweet and I realize how blessed we are to have such a large and loving family.
They are all living close to us...we are able to go to all the grands games and be a big part of their lives.
Believe me when I say that we NEVER forget to thank our sweet GOD for the blessings
HE has showered on us.
Sometimes, my heart is so full of thanksgiving, I just burst out crying...
and it's a cry of thankfulness and love.
*
I am also so thankful for all of YOU...It never once dawned on me, when I started blogging,
that I would fall so in love with all my fellow bloggers....but I HAVE !!
Have a wonderful day....

You and Mr. Sweet have the best breakfasts...it sure beats cereal {actually I have been making Mr. Journal breakfast on the grill lately}. I do love those dishes, too. Have you checked replacements.com?

I know we will never retire to the lake because I would miss my children and future grands way too much. I want to be a part of their lives always and never have to drive more than 5 minutes to see them...so I really hear you BJ when you speak of your love for yours. My heart bursts, too!

Whew, I am out of breath! I had to get up and dance to the Summertime Blues!
I wish I could pull up a chair and join you cause it all looks wonderful!
I did a Brunch for Dad's Day too. But with 4 little ones carrying on, I didn't get a chance to take one bloomin' pic. It was like a tornado blew through!

What a wonderful family photo! I love that. It is wonderful you can be a part of your families lives. My parents have never come to one single event. They live three hours away. It is sorta sad they really have missed a lot. How wonderful you have not missed it and enjoyed every minute. I am sure your kids appreciate it.

BJ, it looks for me like you all had a great Father's Day with lots of fun and yummy food. The photo shows a really sympatic family. Are you that young pretty lady in the middle? Thank you for sharing this nice event.

What a beautiful breakfast! Mr. Sweet is one lucky guy, (and you are one lucky girl!) You are so very fortunate to have all your family live so close, I always hope and pray that when my girls marry some day, that they will still be in the same area that we live in.

This is so sweet, BJ. I love the summer music and am so happy that you still fit into your earrings from High School. Me too! They are looking ever so vintage at this point though! Talk about olden!

I envy your close proximity to your kids and grandies. All three of our kids have lived out of the country for extended period and it is hard. And the nerve..they took their babies! By the same token though every time we get together it is super special and we have done lots of traveling thanks to them because we will follow them no matter where their lives and careers take them. There is no getting rid of us!

Thank you for your comments on my design blog. My main blog that I write on nearly every days is found at bonsblogbydesign.blogspot.com

The design blog is one I don't write on that much but the other one is a real potpourri of daily living.

Have a great day, BJ!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. As far as the iris, they pretty much take care of themselves as long as you plant them at the right time and give them plenty of sun. I am sure Jain could help you with the details when you order from her.

Mr. Sweet's a very lucky guy! And you say you feel like a lucky lady. And WE all feel that we're fortunate indeed that you're sharing your life with us in Blogland.

When I got to the part where you wrote:"Believe me when I say that we NEVER forget to thank our sweet GOD for the blessings HE has showered on us," my eyes filled up with big ol' tears, and then you immediately added that you burst out crying and REALLY got me going! ;)

What a special post!
Hope you and yours have a wonderful weekend.

Fondly,
Bill
