THE GOOD OLE SUMMERTIME....

So as not to BORE everyone to absolute PIECES,
I am adding a photo or two of OUR CRUISE TO ALASKA to several of my posts.
*
We flew to SEATTLE a day before we were to board ship
and the above photos are at the SPACE NEEDLE.
It was so AWESOME and we enjoyed seeing it all so much.
*
I was standing beneath the Space Needle taking this shot in the first photo...
the second is a shot of the GIFT SHOP below us...
the third..the beautiful city of SEATTLE, WASHINGTON..
***
NOW ON TO MY REGULAR
PINK SATURDAY POST..
;-)

MIZZ CATE, the great- grandluv, seems to be having a good summer....

One thing, FOR SURE.....she loves the water !!

Won't be long until she can get outside and "help" Daddy mow....

SHE loves her doggie, CLIVE..
(isn't that a cool name for a dog !)
*
Awww, she's sharing something with Clive...
*

:-)
*
SPEAKING OF TURTLES................
*
A granddaughter, BRYNNA, is making us the
BESTEST thing to romance our SWEET TOOTH.....
(Beverly..I hope the PINKNESS of her young skin will work for you !) :))
*
ROLO PRETZEL TURTLES

Small pretzels
ROLO Chewy Caramels in Milk Chocolate
Pecan halves.

Heat oven to 350.
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Place one pretzel for each pretzel treat desired on prepared sheet. Top each pretzel with one ROLO Chewy Caramel in Milk Chocolate.
Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until caramel piece begins to soften, but not melt. Remove from oven; top with pecan half. Cool completely.

O HONEY !!

This recipe is from TINA that lives over in CHERRY HILL COTTAGE. Not only does TINA have some fabulous recipes at her cottage, her cottage itself is SO cute..She and her Cherry Hill Cottage have been published in several really great magazines...You'll love her blog. Would you kindly tell her that bj said hey?

.....then, fix yourself and your honey some of this WONDERFUL Sweet & Salty treat !

I am linking with PINK SATURDAY and, because SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS are Grandgirls, Great-Grandgirls and CANDY, I am linking with LAURIE..

My thanks to you sweet ladies for hosting each week.

BJ, How cute your grands are. Cate looks like she's about to start swimming! Love her showing Clive the turtle - how precious. Brynna is such a pretty little cook, and her turtles look so good. You got some great photos of and from the space needle. I'll look forward to seeing more of your cruise photos. Thank you for linking these precious children to Favorite Things Sat. laurie

Loved your photos today. The Space Needle is nearly in my backyard! Well, four hours away and in the part of our country where my roots are - and where my son attended college and met our dear daughter-in-law and lived for several years. I've never been up to the top of the Space Needle. My sweetheart doesn't want to go. Guess I'll go by myself next time! Love seeing photos of your cruise. Can't believe how much Cate has grown.

I was hopint that you would share some of your
Alaska pics with us.
Your grandluv is adorable. Love that name. Don't let her play with the turtle.....lots of handwashing if she does. You can get pretty sick from turtles.
I saw Tina's post on those turtles and would love to make them.
I enjoy your blog.

Happy Pink Saturday, BJ. There is no danger of you boring me with your cruise pictures. I love seeing them.

You certainly have darling girls in your family. I can't believe how big Cate is getting to be.

Someone at work made those treats, and they were delicious. I'll be right over.

Hi BJ Sweetie...
Oh how I have missed you. As always, you never disappoint. Now isn't that sweetie just a bundle of love? Miss Cate is so adorable you just want to hug her. Now Clive looks as though he can steal the show quite often. Love him, and how does he deal with the turtle? He'll have his nose if he isn't careful.

I love the little polka dotted romper with pink dots. So cute on Miss Cate. She could be a model. Cute as a button.

I am going to have to try that recipe. Looks and sounds so addictable.

I am having a giveaway for my blogaversary. Please stop by. So happy to be up and atem for today.

Country hugs and much love sweetie...Sherry

I'll have to try those pretzel/rolo turtles when I get back. We leave tomorrow, going to Portland Oregon and will take some time to travel up to Seattle. We leave on our cruise on July 4th. I am trying to pack up and touch up clean the house today. It was clean Friday, now how does that happen! lol
Talk to you when I get back.

Those are my favorite sweet treats! In fact, I was cleaning the pantry the other day and found all the supplies from the last time I made them. Yum, I feel another batch might have to be made.
