bj's

Now, you KNOW it would be fun to own a place like
B.J.'S CAFE and SWEET SHOP !!

I mean, how fun would it be to have BIKERS coming thru...I'd love that !!

and....I'll tell ya for sure...
I would LOVE owning a
BJ'S BAKERY
*
I'd make
LEMON CHEESECAKES....
*...and STRAWBERRY SCONES
*
even PEANUT BUTTER and CRACKERS
served with a
FRESH FRUIT PLATE
*
...and
FRESH, WARM BANANA NUT BREAD
served with STRAWBERRIES and BANANAS
*
AND...
I would LOVE to own and operate a
great GORMET SANDWICH SHOPPE
*
I would probably make most of the sandwiches with this
AWESOME and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS
bread.
*
It's, by far, my favorite SANDWICH BREAD....
*
Sweet BANANA PEPPERS
would be on every plate....
*
CRISP, FRESH LETTUCE
is a must....
*
Altho I, personally, don't eat TOMATOES on my sandwiches,
I would make them available for my special customers....
..... straight from the VINE...
*
Only the BEST
BLACK FOREST HAM, sliced just the right thickness..
not too thin....
not too thick....
JUST RIGHT...!
AND
PROVOLONE CHEESE...
*huge SIGH...
*
Knowing how much I LOVE
POLKA DOTS...
I think I would serve all my
customers on the most
FUN OF ALL ...
RED AND WHITE POLKA DOT PLATES....

If you are in the neighborhood...
be sure to stop in for a
sandwich and dessert...
I SURE WOULD BE GLAD TO SEE YA !!

your post was like reading one of those beautiful books about the magic of food and cooking. My favorite is "Like Water, For Chocolate." A must if you haven't read it yet. Everything the cook is feeling imbues the eater with those feelings. I know that if you did own those cafe's people would be floating out on a full, happy and blissful tummy :)

BJ, I'd be a regular! Delicious food on polka dot plates. Does it get any better? And we all know you make the best desserts. Yes, count me in! ~ Sarah

For sure, if I ran into a B J's eatery I would have to stop in. I am sure it would be fun but too much work for me. Two of our children have attended culinary school and they both would like to have an eatery. One son in Texas is a marvelous cook but just keeps it to entertaining and family. Our daughter here loves to do catering but most of those jobs are on the weekend, so that is a no no. I feel my mouth watering now.

Love it!! Would love anything "BJ" as those are my initials too. The food all looked too good - made me so hungry and since I haven't eaten yet I know I will be having a really big breakfast soon. Just found your blog after visiting "Remodelaholic". After eating that big breakfast I will be back to check out some of your older posts.

Peanut butter on saltine crackers... wow, that brings back some major flavor memories from my childhood. I haven't thought about them for over 30 years - will have to stop at the store for some crackers TODAY!

You are going to be one busy lady! I hope to find one of your "places" someday. We were in your great state last weekend (Houston) and had really good barbecue and really good Vietnamese food. I just heard from my Lubbock friend that the Roadhouse (our FAVORITE) closed sometime ago. I still try to replicate their menu from time to time. When we lived there, long, long ago, in addition to the Roadhouse, there weren't many restaurants. She says that has now changed. We did like Furr's Cafeteria! Oh, and I think it was called Crepe Suzette which was really good. No B.J.s back then.

Best,
Bonnie
