ICED SWEET TEA....

Oh, yes...I do love my SWEET TEA...
It's sooo .....SOUTHERN, you know, Sugah !HOT WEATHER, SWEET TEA, LACE AND FLOWERS..
the makings of a lovely TEA PARTY...

It's waaay too windy to have tea on the porch, in the garden or on the patio out here in

West Texas ...

sooo, I chose to have it by a Southern window...with plants that are looking pretty good right now.

I found this pretty, summery cake plate and two little dessert plates to match..last summer, I think.....at Salvation Army Thrift Shop.....pink flowers....just right for spring...

*UPDATE...I just learned this very day that I have a brand new SALVATION ARMY THRIFT SHOP right across and down the street....about 2 blocks from me...

GOOD GRIEF but I love that !!

*
Sweet iced tea, double chocolate fudge cake and pretty plates...
ummmm UM!!
*
...before I could even finish this shoot, MR. SWEET and myself just HAD
to have a slice each...tea with mine...milk with his ....

*
I''m playing like this is....SAVANNAH, GEORGIA
and I am so darn SOUTHERN,
I'm sayin' "SUGAH PIE, SHUT MY MOUTH, HONEY CHIL AND BLESS HER HEART"
all in one sentence !!
*
haahhhhaaa...I JUST LOVE TO PRETEND !

*

This silver cake server belonged to my little mama...
she served me MANY slices of cake and pie with this very one..

*
I served MY kids and now THEIR kids with it.
Hope I'm able to serve CATE, the GREAT-grand with it, too. !!
*

My mother and dad gave this wicker tea cart to me when my son, DAVID,
was 1 year old...
He just turned 45 in February.
*
O, and the little porcelain roses were Mom's, too..
*
I am sure you will be seeing this cart MANY times thru all the
spring and summer TEA PARTIES...
**
O..and the little lacy, square with the TEA POT on it....
my sweet sister*in*luv that I lost last year bought it for me on one of our fun trips together.
*
I sure would rather have MARILEE than this ole tea cloth !!
**
I am linking with so many beautiful TEA PARTIES...
TEA TIME with LADY KATHERINE
TEA TIME with RHONDI
TEA FOR TWO with WANDA LEE
TABLESCAPE TUESDAY with MARTY
TEA TIME TUESDAY with SANDI
2ND TIME AROUND TUESDAY with DIANE
TEA FOR ME AND THEE WEDNESDAY with WANDA LEE
*******************************************************************
My thanks to all the sweet ladies that invite us all to TEA each week..
I JUST LOVE TEAS !!

Now this is the kind of tea I like best...Sweet Tea! I love your lace with those teacups and teapots. I've never seen one like that before, but it's just lovely. I just almost bought a set of those same pink dishes at a thrift store a couple weeks ago, but put them back. After seeing how pretty yours look, I may have to go back. Thanks for sharing!

Lovey! Love the tea cart! I would love to have some ladies over for tea one day but every time I clean up the back porch the wind blows all my chairs over and covers everything with red dust! Can't wait for calmer (but hotter) days!

Hi! No wonder, you've been BUSY! I vaguely remember you talking about your upcoming 50th anniversary - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (Belatedly!) I was catching up on a few of your posts. Congrats on the trip to Alaska. Wonderful! Hey, can I have a bite of that chocolate cake? Funny, my hubby would select milk w/it too, not me, I'm with you on the tea. And, on talking about having your special people with you instead of things they had or gave you. ... As always, I just love coming here. Miss seeing you over at my place - hope you'll stop by soon - ... hey, nice, thrift shop nearby ! Wonder what you'll be getting and posting! Love, Jenn

First, Dear One, do you have some sort of foreign language SPAM, in 2 comments, up above?

I'd not click on the links! One could get a virus, by so doing, if you're on a Pc that is.

Seems that it would be OK to just delete them. Why would anyone leave a foreign language in our comments?

Auntie sezzzzzz... said...

And Oh My Dear, may I please come to your Southern Tea?!? I love everything Southern. And get little, being *stranded* up here in Yankee Land. -le sigh-

I so want everyone to call me "Miss Amelia," the way they do in the South, with all ladies of a certain age. And I can't get the ding-dang Yankees to do so! -pout-

But I'd call you Miss BJ and you'd call me Miss Amelia, at a Southern Tea. And I'd even try tea. Even thought I've never gotten to properly appreciate it. ^_^

Gentle hugs,
"Miss Amelia"
