HOMESPUN GOODNESS

Hello, bloggers...
Here it is...time for another fabulous TABLESCAPE THURSDAY
with FOODIE FRIDAY right behind it.
**
I have these lovely flowers, still so so pretty, from our anniversary party..
and wanted to do a table using them before they wilted.
*
HOMESPUN
...that word reminds me of crocks, quilts, all things HOMEMADE...
So, I layered a HOME MADE QUILT as a tablecloth....

All the different colors went so well with THE FLOWERS..

VINTAGE Blue and white transferware brought out the blues in the quilt...

This is a COUNTRY TABLE...all the way....

Blue and white plates layered on solid white, larger plates from PIER 1.

*
It's just a LOT of fun, using mix-matched, VINTAGE flateware
*
*
I used another blue-band crock for an old fashioned SPOONER...
*

It seems to be all about THE FLOWERS...:)
*
**

THE FLOWERS, highlighting my mother's
BEAUTIFUL QUILT that hangs on my dining room wall..
*
One of the cousins that visited last weekend brought this
JUG OF APPLE CIDER
plus that cute little jar of RED HOTS...
She heated the cider, added the RED HOTS to it and
then poured us a cup....
DEE-LISH !
*
She said, served in clear cups, this was a beautiful drink for CHRISTMAS...
UMMMM, it is really good.
*
I also just had to try the new RED centered OREOS..
with a BIG goblet full of
ICY COLD MILK.....
*
Closed my eyes and thought I'd gone to heaven !!

Now this is my kind of tablescape! Starting with the pretty quilt, to the crock that the flowers are in, and the beautiful blue transferware, not to mention the apple cider, I would love to pull up a chair to this table!
Happy VTT!

This is my kind of place. Lovely county look. I used to have the green willow and must have given it away. All I can find is the meat platter. I bet I go to the Peddler's Mall shopping in a few days. We got our invite to our anniversary reception today. I called my daughter to RSVP and told her we couldn't make it. Had other plans. Of course I was kidding. I also discovered my original cake topper is missing from my china cabinet. LOL. Of course I put it right up in front so it would be sure to be found.

Hi BJ, my company left today and no one is coming to visit until Memorial Day. I won't know how to act. Laughing. Really, I am in need of a break from road trips and company. Now, I can blog to my heart's content.

Your tablescape is charming. Country charm at it's best. I love the nine square quilt with the awesome colors. Another great BJ clever idea. Also, using mixed flatware...nothing but vintage fun.

Have a wonderful time dreaming of your Alaska cruise. You are gonna love it.

Love you, Jeanne

I have a knife in a set of flatware I picked up from my SIL's stuff and it's almost like one of your knives and BTW I never would have thought of mixing flatware like that and I absolutely love the idea! Anyway, happy belated 50th! And, I love your new 50th pic with Mr. Sweet!

Also, saw where you won the table runner from The Old Painted Cottage. You've got quite a winning streak goin' this year.

Right after I finish enjoying all the tablescapes from Thursday, I am trying a quilt on my table like yours. What a wonderful idea. And I have blue and white dishes, too. I'm urban, but the country contrast might work. I certainly enjoyed your creative country table -- very homey, warm, and inviting! I was drawn to it. Thanks!
