I LOVE THESE PLATES.....

2/15/10 I posted this shelf not long ago with the
divided blue plates...
*
I told you that they belonged to my mom, years and years ago.
They are some of my favorite plates...in fact....I JUST LOVE 'EM..
They are vintage...
they are blue....
they are transfer ware at it's finest....
they belonged to my mother...
and........they are divided....
What's not to love?
**
The blue is such a deep color...
**
I had a brand new recipe to try this morning and decided
to serve it on my pretty blue plates...
*SEASONED SCRAMBLED EGGS IN TOAST CUPS..
**
for this fabulous recipe, go here...
**
Her's is much prettier than mine..
the recipe calls for FRESH herbs and I didn't have a one..:(
*
I used dried spices and herbs and....
the eggs were delicious.
*

I had little tiny oranges with toasted pecans..
and a few slices of crisp, LEAN bacon...*

These little toast cups are just perfect for your scrambled eggs...
*
My muffin tin has fairly small cups..
I am thinking a little larger cup size would make your toast cups
fluff out around the edges a little more......

(good gosh...that was almost like sayin'
"a larger cup size would make your cleavage fluff out more")
**
It made a fabulous breakfast for MR. SWEET and myself this
cold, wintery morning....
Yes, ma'am...it sure was good...
**

O... and don't forget THIS !!
UMMMMM.....
*that reminds me that, one of these days, i have
a sweet story to share with you about my beloved little wood burning Franklin stove

I love the plates, BJ. You must think of your sweet mother every time you use them. They were perfect for this meal. The toast cups look delicious and I'd like to try them. I have one of those muffin pans for making larger muffins, that might work...Scrumptious breakfast on gorgeous plates in front of that beautiful roaring fire. It doesn't get any better than that!!

Darling, I have to be honest and say that I can't decide which I like more, the plates or the scramble cups. It looks perfectly delicious. I am going to have to make some for my kids. Thanks for the idea!!

God Bless You!

I seem to remember Aunt Helen having some of those divided plates. I love this blue and white.

I bought reproduction Blue Willow at a grocery store, Saturday, on our way to see the g'kids, because they remind me of Aunt Helen. I'd love to have vintage, but alas, I don't have them. The new plates make me happy, because they bring memories of meals at my Aunt's.

Hi BJ,
I don't think that I have ever seen plates like that in china.
They are so lovely and you are fortunate to have them.

My son would love them because he hates for his food to touch! Geeze!

You have made me so hungry, and I have a cold, so like they say, feed a cold or is it starve a cold???

Thanks for wishing my sister a Happy Birthday. And enough with the bawlin already, you have a big family, so that makes up for not having a sister.

Love the bra comment.

You're right, grill plates are so cool! I used to like eating off them when I was a kid since I didn't like my different foods touching each other! (I've grown out of that, fortunately!)

Great! 3 sections. One for M&M's. One for Oreos, and one for mixed nuts.

That way you can eat a balanced meal.

Those divided plates are wonderful; we had some similar when I was a little girl, and my sister and I loved to have lunch on them. We thought they were so fancy because they had separate compartments for the food!

And your breakfast. Oh YUM.
