A BEAUTIFUL MONDAY....

I am linking with MARY for MOSAIC MONDAY
and MARY for RUBY TUESDAY
***
THANKS so much for stopping by .....
KATHY is asking for handmade item ideas...
I am not crafty but I do love these photos of wonderful gifts that can be made in your kitchen....
I especially am totally in LUV with the darling gum drop jar...
and the yummy treat wrapped in a cute cuptowel....
**
FUDGE, COOKIE MIX, BREADS and CAKES...
All wonderful gift ideas for ANYone on your Christmas list...
I'm going to make some of these...and give them to MR. SWEET so I can eat them, too !! :O)
**************************************************************************

I promised this story of my daughter's lovely wedding gown....
**
"THE WEDDING GOWN.....A TRUE LOVE STORY..."
This is the story of a beautiful lady, my daughter, STACY and her handsome prince, JENT..
As I mentioned in yesterday's post, they married a little over 20 years ago..
*
We searched far and wide.....
in our kingdom and other kingdoms, for the most beautiful wedding gown..
and not a dress did we find that made her heart go pitter patter..
THEN...
just when we thought she would be forced to settle for something just a tiny bit less spectacular,
she found it !!
As you can plainly see, it was a MOST beautiful dress...
My "little" girl looked so beautiful in it, I burst into streaming tears every time I looked at her...
*
After the wedding, being the young couple they were and just starting out as a married pair,
money was the all important thing....
**
Stacy and Jent decided to sell the gown. *gulp...
Running an ad in the local paper...another young lady getting married came over to look at the wedding gown, fell in love with it and bought it on the spot.

**

Well, years went by....and two sons and two daughters later, Stacy began to dream of her girls getting married in her gown...but, wait...she didn't HAVE the gown anymore.
***
JENT...remember, he is her knight in shinning armour..her prince ...
decided to FIND THAT GOWN...
Christmas morning of 2007, Stacy opened this huge box...
*at this point I am crying so hard, snot building up, headache starting, that I could barely take these photos..
most romantic moment I ever saw !!
***

YES...JENT had searched far and wide and located that gown.....

Not only located it but persuaded the lady to sell it back to him !!

"How much did he have to pay for it ?", you ask......

There wasn't a one of us that even asked.....
nobody cared !

We were just so glad that she had it back, we didn't care if he paid 25 1/2 times too much!
*****
true love ways ......

30 DAYS OF THANKSGIVING
I am blessed and so thankful to know that both my children are loved so much by their spouses....and will always be taken care of.

snifffffffff. That's an awesome story! Wow. That's SPECIAL! And you got to enjoy it too. :)
I love the gum drop jar and the cup towel and the cranberry stuff and - oh it just makes one want to craft. Except that I seem to be spending a lot of time on the computer reading blogs. :) And enjoying them. From Iowa, Japan, Austraila, Texas, California ... hopping here and there and just enjoying it. Did you see Ginger's Dwelling in the House? I think we should get addresses and write letters. As I mentiond to, uh, Mimi I think, I can't figure out how to exchange them .. certainly not on the www. Oh well. I'll keep thinking about it. See ya next time. JEnn

The dress and the wedding are so magical, you capture the loving emotions as a parent. Christmas is for giving, God's present to us so special. Likewise, we really do feel better about giving than receiving. You area wonderful and giving Mom!

It sounds like your daughter married the right guy:>) What a sweetheart! Thanks for linking to handmade holidays too. I just saw jars with cookie mix in them at Pier 1 yeaterday and they wanted $10 for them. I know they could be made for a lot less than that! Add a cute tag and they are a great gift:>)
