Some new and some old things to share....

I am linking up with DIANE for 2ND TIME AROUND TUESDAYThis is a NEW brick red, corduroy pillow that I brought at TARGET..got 2 of 'em...
I just LOVE different textures and am always searching for neat things to go on my 2 leather sofas...
These pillows were spot on....
***
I know this looks U.G.L.Y. right now....but I have BIG plans for this hanging candle chandy...
Got it at GOODWILL for $2.00....
let's hear if for GOODWILL ....WOO HOO !!
***
It is gonna be ca...ute when I finish with it...
I just KNOW it !
***
This is a finish on a metal shelf I have...
I am going to try for this look on the chandy...
Not sure I know just how to do it, tho....

Let's see...I guess I need to spray it BROWN first ?
Then a really creamy off white....and then sand in places ??
Then, do I need to apply a sealer or will it be good to go with just painting ??
**
Can you see the $4.00 sticker ? GOODWILL !!
Well, it's yellow, black and white checks AND has a rooster
so, OF COURSE.......it came home with me ! I even looked on the back to see if it said,

"Made especially for bj....."
***
.......and here it is, full of the infamous 3 ingredient PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
aka....GRANDCHILDREN COOKIES ...
**
30 DAYS OF THANKSGIVING
I am so thankful for all the small things in life...
I think it's all the small things added up to the large OVER ALL picture that makes our souls and hearts happy.

Jean, I love your find. I have a chandelier we got in PA. several years ago but I have no place to hang it in this house. I'd sell it but packing it would be a bear, sugar! I might just put it on Craigslist and see what I can get for it. Otherwise, it'll go to granddaughter's house...*sigh*.....

Connie

Hi BJ...

My friend...your treasure finds are awesome!!! I love your new red cordoroy pillows...you're right, they're perfect on that pretty leather sofa!

Ohhh...I love, love, LOVE your candle chandelier!!! Can't believe that you got that pretty treasure for a mere $2.00...lucky lady! I can't wait to see it after you paint it...ohhh...where or where are you going to put it? Hehe! You know, I think it will be just fine with the paint and no sealer or finish! I usually don't use it on my projects like this and have never had problems!

Well my friend, I'm so very happy for you! Thank you for sharing your pretties with us....

Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

I kinda liked the chandy as is ... but oh I think it will be neater neat when you finish (literally 'finish') it.
My sister loves roosters. She's an artist. She's done some awesome roosters and chickens. Her blog is on my sidebar "Karen Hargett's Fine Art Journal" (in a blogspot.com way), if you feel like checking it out. Jenn

Hi Dearness! Oh, I love your new pillows and what a pretty color.
Love your little treasures and can't wait to see what you do with them. Now I'm coming over - PB cookies are my absolute favorite. Tell those grands not to eat them all! :)

Jean, you really hit the jackpot with your pillows! They look like they were made for your couch.

I just read back about your daughter's wedding gown. What a romantic and true love story that was! makes me want to cry!

I've decided that Goodwill must be better other places. We don't have one, but we went to Terre Haute, IN over the weekend and I made my husband go in Goodwill with me. He thought I'd lost my mind. I told him about all the wonderful "finds" everyone got at their stores. Well...nothing came home with me. Barely a dish in sight, no cute candle things, no linens...just lots of icky toys, clothes and ugly Christmas decorations. So disappointing! I love your finds!

Great finds at Goodwill. I love that quilt hanging on the wall in the background too. I think I'm going to have to make a trip to target, I'd love a couple of new pillows, and corduroy is perfect this time of year. The color is great too.
Blessings,
Marcia

I'm always reading about the great things that you gals find at Goodwill but the only time I went inside one my reaction was just like Sue's (SM).
Still, you found some great bargains, especially the rooster dish.

Love the red pillows! Your chandy is making me think again about a strange brass candle holder I bypassed at my local thrift store today; could it have similar potential? Ummm....

BJ, I love all your new treasures, but my favorite is that red patterned pillow. It reminds me of a Waverly fabric I had on a sofa once.

Best wishes to you and your sweet family for the best Thanksgiving celebration ever.

Isn't it just awesome what we can find at places like Goodwill? I love what you bought and I just know you'll have that chandy looking absolutely gorgeous once you're done with it. I'm no help in how to achieve the look you want, though, as I've never tried it before. Once you find out, you can post about it so that we can all learn:-) xoxo
