SHE'S DRESSED IN RED....

My project is just a very TINY one but one, just the same..and I DO have BEFORE and AFTER.......:).

Some of you will remember that I bought this ugly little table for less than $3 bucks on
thrifting trip with Mr. Sweet.....the brass candlesticks became POTTERY BARN LOOKALIKES, as seen in the above mosaic...
**
The little CHEAP table was such an ugly duckling, I really was lost as what to do with it...
It is a PERFECT size to go between two reading chairs in the library end of the living room,
so I really want to use it..
**
It's going to be setting in front of a black vintage hutch so I couldn't paint it black....
OH, MY....what's a girl to do....?
***

...go get a new hair cut...OF COURSE...and ponder all the options for the little Ugly Duckling table.......
**
SMILING SALLY....this blue sky is for YOU !
***

...I just went home, dressed her in a luscious shade of RED and for now...
she looks good where she's at and she really IS the perfect size..

(O, how I wish I could say the same for myself !!)
**
I love that it has a tiny shelf on the bottom..
A great place to store a few of my beloved and many, magazines...
I am so a magazine hoarder !!!!!
**
HEY, CATE...where did YOU come from ?? tee hee...
You aren't Red..or a Mosaic or Blue...
What, you say...???
OOO..............BLUE EYES !!
WELL, OF COURSE...you can come to the party !!
(CATE is a GREAT-granddaughter, for those that haven't met her !)
***

Yep...I'm really liking that little extra shelf down there...
HEY....do you think I could stack some of my many dishes there???
You KNOW I am needing more DISH SPACE..
NO ?.....ok, I'll keep looking for that vintage pine hutch....*sigh
I just can't find one...I have a certain style in mind...I saw it in a magazine...
and I think they are all taken !!
***

It's holding all the things I like, right on top of RED !! :o)
**
(i just noticed that the two white knobs on the black hutch look just like....eyes !!!) **
**
Yep, I'm happy with my little, red, less than $3 bucks table...for now...till something cuter and flirtier comes along...that's what's fun about thrifting...when you tire of it...or find something you love more,
SELL IT !!
**
O, SALLY....there's a tad more BLUE in the chairs....do I have enough to play ??
***

......and much love to all....

Evening, Dear BJness! Oh, what a darling little Cate! She's beautiful and look at those eyes! And those lashes! She's gorgeous!
Now I love your candlesticks and they do look like PB ones. Your little redness of table is adorable! I love it. What a deal you got for it. It doesn't even look like the same table after you've painted it red.
Love ya, sweet friend,
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi BJ--thanks for stopping by my blog earlier! I love how the little table turned out and yes, those knobs do look a little like EYES!
What a darling great-granddaughter! She isn't spoiled any, right?
Where in W.TX are you--near Lubbock, perhaps--based on the weather location on your blog???
Our son lives in Lubbock!

Ooh girl, I LOVE the mosaic, but love what you've done to that ugly duckling of a table even more! How could you go wrong with that rich, beautiful red? But OMG, I actually cracked up when you said the knobs looked like eyes. I went back up and looked and yep, they look like the eyes in the Geico commercial!

Cate, as usual, is beautiful, and so is your hair! I love love LOVE the color of it!

Show us a picture of the pine hutch you like so we can help you hunt one down!

Hi, BJ! Oh, how I love that little red suit your table is wearing! It looks adorable and is perfect like that. Good choice! I wish I could find a table that size. Love the new look for the candlesticks, too.

And Cate is about the cutest thing ever! And those eyes! She is going to be a heartbreaker. But for now, she's a living doll.

That turned out great, not that there was ever any doubt. I thought the same thing about the cabinet knobs looking like eyes. Your home is just magical enough, I wouldn't doubt if the cabinet 'watches' you and yours. ;)

I walked down a dish aisle at Home Goods the other day and the red, white and black plates and cups made me think of you right away.

Guess I carry my blog friends everywhere. :)

Good morning BJ. I am home again and exhausted from helping my sisters move their antique business. I will post about it later this week.

Love your little red table. Good choice and it looks great. We do love our thrifty finds don't we?

I just realized your GD Brynna was born on the same day as our Ashley. She just turned 15. How time passes us by so quickly. We better make hay while the sun shines. I'm trying!!!

Gotta run I have a million things to catch up on. LIKE CLEANING! LOL.
My cousin and her dh will be here on Sat. Beverly says I never have a minutes peace. She is right, but I love my life.

Love xoxo, Jeanne

Sooo much better in red! And I love the side chairs it's sitting between. Are you seriously a great-grandmother? Well, you have a gorgeous great-grandaughter.

You asked about Furniture Features Fridays at my blog. For a few weeks I'm just going to feature one or some of my favorite furniture makeovers I've spotted on blogs. In a few weeks (when I have a button) I'll host a link party every Friday that's all about furniture makeovers or great furniture finds. I hope you'll participate!
