A teeny, tiny make-over aka FLUFFING..

AT THE LAST MINUTE, I HAVE LINKED THIS POST WITH THE NESTER....
She is having room make-overs, little tiny ones that only take a few minutes....Be sure to
go over and see all the CUTENESS today.....
*
*
*
I MADE A BOO-BOO and posted THREE times today......!!!!!

PLEASE SEE MY TABLESCAPE THURSDAY POSTING FOLLOWING THIS ONE....
GOOD GRIEF !!!
SEE SHEILA, YOU AREN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT GETS CONFUSED ! ;o) !!
*

NAAAAWH......Not THIS kind of make-over....altho I sure could USE one of these !!
*

*

I've been moving things around....
changing things up....
doing a little FLUFFING and doing little mini MAKE-OVERS...
(especially when I need a break from THE WALL PAPER BORDER FROM you know where!!)
*
*

One of the things I LOVE to change is my
FRENCH COUNTRY ROOSTER CHEST..
*
* THIS is how it has looked for several months...
well, other than at THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS....
this is a perfect spot to decorate for the different holidays..
it's "out of the way" so the decos don't interfere with every day living...
and I enjoy using some of my MACKENZIE-CHILDS in this spot....
but.....you know how you get tired of the same thing...
*

SOOOO, it was time for a little make-over...
I absolutely LOVE my little PLATE RACK and just never thought to use it here...
wonder why ?
How does it look with my white PIER ONE plates...
and all the other things on here ?
LOOK OK ? "a little too much", you say ? I know...I KNOW...
I can't help it...I like lots of STUFFS !! ;o)
ooo, and see that fabulous, wooden ROOSTER there...
GoodWill, $1.00....what a deal for some CUTENESS....
*
MYSELF ?
I really, REALLY like the look.....
but, maybe it is the CHANGE I like the best !
I LOVE CHANGES THAT JUST TAKE 10 MINUTES, don't you ?
**
*

I remembered these ROOSTER salt and pepper shakers that I thought
would look cute here, too...almost have a French barnyard look going on with the
roosters, chickens and bunny rabbit...
oooo, and RHONDI....
fabulous fake geraniums....*hugh smile here
*
these little cuties were given to me, with their matching platter, by my
sweetest daughter*in*law, KATHY....
I sure have loved them !!
Thanks again, Kathy girl.....
*********************************
happy day and have a little make-over somewhere in your cottage....
and don't forget to look at all the other wonderful, 10 minute make=overs....
you'll just LOVE it...

XO bj

I absolutely love the entire thing.
Every bit of it...the darling little bunny lamp..the plate holder, just the entire thing. And the cabinet itself...sigh..
I LOVE sitting things on books so of course that caught my eye. NEVER too much..sorry..I am with you on that. I love pretties to look at. It's like a little adventure. Once my daughter came to visit me..and was telling me a story about something. She kept glancing here and glancing there and finally she threw up her hands and said "MOM...it is so hard to talk to you with so many goodies to look at!!" Now she is just like me.
Also..your blog looks great. :) Goodness...you REALLY did some plumping today!! :) WONDERFUL!!
Hugs,
Mona

Everything looks FANTASTIC :)

I love that bunny lamp, and the final picture with the salt & pepper shakers is the assortment that I like best.

Now as for fluffing... since I am a fluffy person, I don't fluff too much of my stuff!

GM BJ, well that scene is pretty enough for a magazine. And girl, that plate rack is to die for. Where did you get that? I have been looking for one and I can't find anything. I really love what you did here.

LOve Ya,
Chris

I love your Rooster cabinet. Looks just fine to me! I'm liking roosters lately....but what to do with all of my chefs. Hmmm! Love your Mackenzie Childs and I am jealous of your teapot! ;0)

BJ - You are giving me some ideas for change. Your French Country Rooster chest in itself is lovely. The changes that you made are fantastic. I have a small side board that is so boring - maybe with some hints I can manage a small makeover. I have a meeting in the big city of Harrisburg today. When I get home I am checking out the Nester.
Hugs,
Sweeter

Hi BJ!!!
What an adorable post! How ironic that I just did a post on CHECKS... Our favorite decorating tool! I love to fluff and have actually had a few 10 minute makeovers myself. Things are a changing over here at Whispering Oaks, and I will post pictures soon..
Hope all has been well with you, dear sweet BJ!

BJ, this is beautiful. Love your MacKenzie Childs!! I love the idea of a quick fluffing. (That's how I clean the fridge--one shelf at a time, or it would overwhelm me, lol).
Can't wait to see you at Foodie Friday, dear lady!

I hate clutter although I seem to drown in it sometimes, so believe me when I say it isn't too much. Remember how you fretted over the accessories on that one table? Well looky what you did here in just 10 minutes and love it. Now that's what I'm talkin' about:0)

You did a great job of decorating that wonderful chest! I love the large basket of greenery especially. The roosters and rabbit lamp are great. I must look around and see if I don't have a couple of roosters and put them to use too. Thanks for the idea! You seem like a wonderful, fun person.

Carol Kennon said...

Love the roosters. Nice job. Made me want to go out and buy some roosters to put in my kitchen, but I have way too many chefs to change now. Too bad roosters and chefs don't go together. Or do they???

Beautiful job!
